Modeleisenbahn muss nicht immer teuer sein. Alte Fleischmann Kran und Begleitwagen fur Eur.60,- auf Ebay. Mit Airbrush in Grun uberarbeitet, Kranausleger dunkel Grau und noch was Detailarbeiten und voila.

Really nice job Bachmann/Zimo, cold start, failed start and "normal" start options. Lots of complaints on the snow plow fitting in the NEM coupling. I just removed the NEM coupling and glued the snow plow to the buffer beam. Now it is at the right distance and all the hoses can be fitted.

Light weathering and snow plough and hoses fitted. I adjusted sound (cv266) to 35 and topspeed (cv5) to 130. (was 255!?)

A 9F should be a bit dirty so i took out the airbrush. Added some real coal in the tender as well. Since i have no English rolling stock (yet) i had to use some european ones.

Great Locomotive from Hornby, 5pole motor, metal boiler, high detail, 21pin socket. I installed the new Hornby sound decoder speaker HM7000-21TXS which can be operated via bluetooth and smartphone or with your conventional dcc system. Installing was a 30min job and adjusting cv's / settings could not be more easy. This comes close to Loksound/Zimo but for half the price.

Marklin did a great job on this one. Runs smooth and detail and colour are spot on. The chuff sound level out of the box is ridiculous high. Yes you can adjust general sound level with cv63 but you want the whistle to stay loud! I found out that you can change chuff level. First cv31 to 16, after that cv300 from 255 to preferred level ( in my case 100) Unfortunately today is a rainy day with po...

Die wunderschon detaillierte Wagen mit 6 Digitalfunktionen. Licht (rot/weiss) Fahrpultbeleuchtung, Innenbeleuchtung 3 mal separat einschaltbar, Fernlicht (Doppelscheinwerfer) und Kursschildkasten.

ESU BR218 in DB AG ausf. Ein supermodel. Das einzige was noch fehlt ist Maschinen Innenraum Beleuchtung und eine funktionsfahige Lufter. Die Kesselwagen hinter Lok sind auch ESU. Ab Werk zu laut und die Beleuchtung zu hell. Ist zum Gluck mit Hilfe von Betriebsanleitung schnell uber cv's zu reduzieren.

Can you adjust the chuff rate… cause I’ve seen so many TXS engines where the chuff is off by a country mile… this is closer but it’s got 3 chuffs instead of 4

Runs well and looks nice. What mechanical improvements did you make? Those early Bachmann Steam locomotives left a lot to be desired both in detail and running qualities

Piko is zeer stil.
It's great to see someone doing different things other than the normal.. I loved seeing the 2-10-2 on the flat wagon, the only issue I have is that it is not chained down or restrained in any way.. what a pity... but otherwise I love your layout and locos.. you definitely have a new sub... cheers from Melbourne Australia...
I "loaned"it from my son who has a narrow gauge diorama of the HSB. So it is not practical to "chain"it down 😁

Ich habe mir die auch zugelegt. Allerdings kommt die nicht an 140Km/h ran, trotz CV5 = 255.
Vielleicht cv6 justieren?

Via the chimney is the only way as far as i know.

Vallejo black but i guess any black matt/semi gloss paint will do

Leslie i think, you can choose 3 different horns in the cv if i remember correctly.

I have this loco it sounds brilliant your layout is superb could I ask did you upgrade the sound version to the current version as I think thr txs sound was 1.0 when released but there is a different version available now

Thanks, i removed the boiler (only 4 screws) then is is easy to reach all the piping and do some extra cab detailing. I used Revell nr.92 and after drying 24hr i applied several coats of Tamiya panel line black.
A truly magnificent locomotive, both the original as well as the H0-model.
Fantastic looking model locomotive. Saw the real Scot back in June hauling a rail tour on the mainline a couple of miles from where I live.

Thanks, yes I have done a few things. I added engine crew and repainted the oil lines and cylinder drain cocks.

I owned the big two cylinder Willesco unit for a few years and eventually sold it on to a friend. The electric heating element is unnecessarily powerful for this machine and needs to be monitored seriously. The bearings on the connecting rods are relatively crude which results in excessively noisy operation. Considering that it's an expensive piece, l feel that the manufacturer could have made it a lot more quiet when operating at moderate speed.
Yes it is true, once the boiler is steaming you can switch of power and it will run for another 10minutes😁
@@buijs1967 The solution is using a transformer to fine tune the heating element. I also wondered if it would be possible to fit proper roller bearings to both ends of the connecting rods to achieve quieter running.. I still have a smaller Willesco steam engine with a 300W heating element, also a steamroller and a traction engine, both with trailers. They both work very well and l like how the exhaust comes out of the chimneys. All in all a wonderful hobby 😊
