I’m coming back to motorcycles after a 20 year layoff and all I’ve really been looking for is our nostalgic ride…. Well, that was the original remit anyway….. I just wanted a chrome retro and a 500 thudder…. But in the last year of looking I have pinged all over the place…. 350 Royal Enfield, Himalayan 411, interceptor, Moto Guzzi V7 850, BSA 650 gold star, and others to boot…. And then I decide I will settle for a 350 plodder, but then my mind goes around and around again…. But what I do like is the fact that you don’t go on about your Himalayan 411, just get out there and ride it and I like that… it’s the best review really without actually reviewing and all the excess that goes with that… really pleased to see you and your friends having such fun….. and seeing the Moto Bretange Classic rally really brought back fantastic sensory memories of the Isle of Man, Kent custom bike rallies, and many other events from the 70s and early 80s…. And even touring in France on my old BMW R80/7 which I still have got…. thoroughly enjoyed the film and I want to go to that show next year as well…. Ride Safe and have lots of fun. Thank you, John
Thanks so much John for your lovely comments, that’s the whole reason I’m doing this channel, just to ride bikes, get out there and have a laugh because when you’re knocking towards 60 there’s no point worrying anymore😂 I’ve actually been the same with bikes but went back to the Himmy (my second one) as I prefer a slower plodding pace as well. Good luck with your 350, I’ve rode one myself, great bike. May see you next year in France for the Bretagne classic 😊

Hiya iv'e just discovered you and it is great in fact being a Bradford lad living in Hastings East Sussex for the last 30-odd years it's bloody brilliant. Skipton Whitby Scarborough and anywhere around the Dales and the Lake District are my fave places many a good time blasting around on my Fizza back in 1982 then once passing me test and the traditional ceremony of the burning or tearing up of the l plates done and going from a Yamaha R D 125 lc to a Honda CB 750 F2 of 1976 vintage well nothing stopped me. Many bikes later and at the young age of 58 I love bikes and the bikeing scene as much as when I was sixteen on my Yamaha FS1E purple popsicle. Keep up the good work lass and long distance huggs from Matt n Mandy.

@@freewheelingblonde The Vaults bar is a place I frequented a bit now did you know Heath Crossley because we were buddies from the age of 10 on and off Long story He was a member of THE Satan Slaves for a good while he was known as SKIPPY to his bros and owned Crossley's Bike Breakers' Unfortunately Heath died at the TT a few years back. I probably did see you and maybe chatted with you as you look very familiar Anyway thanks for the reply as it is great to hear from someone from my neck of the woods. Why is the sidecar on the blue 2 stroke on the wrong side?
They were built that way. The law changed in 1981, any bike with a sidecar on the right must be registered pre 1981 to be legal on UK roads.

Got one as well in Thailand and it's perfect for a mix of city traffic and exploring around type of ridding. The only downside for me is how short 1st gear is and the overall lack of power in 1st/2nd but maybe I am just too impatient and to be fair it's also what makes it easy to manoeuvre at slow speed so yeah it is what it is. Overall I am really happy with it too ^ ^

Hey, we get scrotes in Cumbria too. Usually delivery drivers, and tossin' young farmers with face-glued mobile phones and lane straddling leviathon tractors. Worse in haylage time when they're working around the clock to beat the next rains.

Still got my jacket from my early 20s, tho the metal teeth are coming off the zips. You'd be better off shoulder hauling timber and lobbing walling stone for a couple of weeks to get back into fettle, than faffing with yoga. When I've finished my first guest build on my land, you're welcome to ride over for a reccie of our fell and lakes lanes. I'm only in Cumbria.

Great to see so many smaller bikes out. I'm still feeling my way as a returner, on my RE Classic350. But our Cumbrian lanes are rank with gravel so I'm thinking of swapping out the Ceat road tyres for some hybrids. 'Tis good to see lasses riding rather than just pillions. We may cross paths on the fells yet.
I actually think the ceat’s are great tyres, I had them on my last RE Himalayan, preferred it to the NX if I’m honest 😮
@@freewheelingblonde Oh, they'll not be discarded, as they ARE good. But having my arse end skitter because of all the marbles, has dinted the enjoyment of my rides, so light nobblies seems to be a safer option around here.

Hi I am a 56 and saw the Madras Regiment museum in your vlog. My late father was commissioned in the 4th battalion of the Madras Regiment way back in 1961. The regimental center of the Madras Regiment is in a small town called Wellington in Tamil Nadu.
I rode through Wellington and stopped at the cafe, amazing place, I’d love to visit again someday ❤

I agree with that, I rode from Spain via Morocco a few years ago, didn’t enjoy riding the long dusty plains, a bit like the Wild West lol !
