I love learning about other cultures and spiritual practices. This was not only interesting but beautiful!
The parasite that snatched the boy- Instead of obeying his parent's wishes and playing his part to ease the burden of their labours and support them in their old age blithely, without a trace of conscience, he resolved to lead a life of idleness. Instead of supporting his parents he will be lining up with the sick and the old to demand the lion's share of whatever meagre harvest his parents eke from the soil.
The entire western hemisphere is living of the backs of poor. what is your point?
It is not only that the Tibetan buddhists bring all the other branches of Buddhism into disrepute, you have to say that there is something fundamentally wrong with Tibetan society when so many of it's young men are content to live off the backs of the poor.
Dear Lama Phuntsok Rinpoche i wish You a very very long, healthy and happy life and without any obstacles. Thank You for being incarnated again to teach us the Dharma. OM MANI PADME HUM
From what I have been told by venerable monks, the snaps are part of the 'Dakini' movements and are embellishments usually added for Tara pujas. The snaps are initially outward facing, and after the mudra of the offering itself, there is a a set of snaps with the palms facing inwards, symbolizing a sort of internalization, or collectiing, of the blessings. The forms presented here look like Gelug and there some differences in the movements for other traditions and also for tantric practitioners.
Thank you for sharing this information, and thanks to the uploader and monks
wow, this is fantastic!! thank you very much! :)
MAY LIVE LONG! JAI SHREE BUDDHA NAMAH!
The snap sends out the offering! Buddhist need to know the time because if you arrange to meet people at a time it would be rude to be late or a waste of time to be very early. To make offerings - each gesture is an ofering - is a practice of giving - the offerings are also made as actual substances in bowls but during a ritual, hand gesture are used to symbolize them. Even if no subtance is offered just to take the time to learn the gestures and perform them is a training in being generous
so why does a buddhist need to know the time??? the mind boggles.
Whats the purpose?
Thank you for sharing this lesson. Tashi Delek !
thank you for sharing!
Such a Blessing to come across this video. Thank You for sharing these beautiful lessons. Peace.
@ GeshlersNKT: I also study at an NKT centre and our teacher tought us to respect other lineages and/or traditions and their ways of practising dharma. To say that Geshe-la's way is the "only" way doesn't seem very tolerant or even wise. I welcome you to respond. Namaste.
tillse. 37 practices of a Boddhisattva, never judge another Boddhisattva.

my guess is the mudras help open up the sevens seals or your chakras When you open your thid eye and have an out of body. the Mudras proboly help you focus so you can reach higher astral plans God is light the light in your third eye and the Goal is to wake up in Gods light and you can control the light. I wonder what happens if you do the mudras in this sate and do the mudras also help you obtain this state thats my guess just wondering what others think anydeep secret on the mudras
I just did a video explaining the energy of mudras. One reason or example: If you want to channel peace energy, it would be counterproductive to use a war mudra...
i dont get it why bother playing with your hands what the purpose how does this help you wake up with Gods light in your body
where was this?
Hey, I was in there. We got second place : )
wild sort of flamenco hand movement. Power of myth...universals.
