Eflite CZ T28 BNF Assembly.

This assembly had it's challenges. The parts count was low, so it should not have taken as long as it did. BUT you will always run into real world challenges that slow you down. There was a couple things Eflite could have done to make it easier....like maybe ribbon connecters for the maze of wires coming out of the rx that have to be connected to the wings for lights, flaps, ailerons, and gear....

Got some fun in the sun at my club field. This plane tends to stub it's toes in grass. This plane flies great, but noses over really easy.

I have been wanting this one for a while now. Yesterday I went to the hospital in Bangor to visit a friend who just went through open heart surgery. I was only 6 miles from my local hobby shop, so I went there hoping to pick up the FMS Cessna 182.....they didn't have it in stock, but did have the CZ T-28, and I have been wanting that one for some time also....ever since I flew a friends 28 almo...

It took 5 attempts to nail this bomb drop. The back and forth banter was funny. This was recorded at our club spring fly in 5/19/24.
Elmah the key cam first bombing mission at the KVMA

Elmah Dud the keychain cam flew his first bombing mission at Kennebec Valley Model Aviators spring fly in event. It was kinda cloudy, but the temps were ok, and the wind was manageable. It was a great day overall although turn out was a little low.

This was my first flight at my club field since March. Lori got the bomb drop on the camera. It is a 2 1/2 hr drive down there but worth it to see everyone. The flight was just shy of 5 min, and the battery tested at 4.03 to 4.05 per cell. The battery was a 6s 6000mah.

Barry is good friend that used to fly with us at the club field (KVMA). He called me, and wanted to get together to fly at the Deblois airstrip. The weather was calm for a change, and we both got a couple flights in before the black flies took the fun out of it. This was his maiden of the Eflite Extra 300.

It flew a little pitchy on the elevator, and needed some nose up trip trim. Later got a 2nd flight after putting 30% expo, and a couple more clicks of nose up trim. It then flew really nice.

This is one of a few planes that belonged to a loved, and respected club member who passed way last year. This plane was given to me by his daughter. Richard was the only student I had ever worked with. He was a lot of fun to be around, and contributed a lot to our club.

This is the keychain camera (Elmah Dud) footage by itself. After staving up my first B-25, I am starting to get my second one figured out. Made a few nice landings, and got some nice aerial footage to boot.

Getting my confidence back after the crash of my first B-25. Completed the bomb run and returned to base to smack down some nice landings. Lori is doing great on the camera. The mornings have been great for flying as of late,,,,,,,BUT those damned black flies are something else.

This was a nerve racking flight after crashing my first B25 on it's third flight. Got 2 flights with it on this day, and it flew great after a few clicks of up elevator trim. I put my keychain camera on the turret for the next flight, and that video will be up soon.

Well those things happen even if we do not like them, Great flying up till that powerline snagged the rudder robbing your airspeed. This is a very worthy plane to repair and among the best low/mid wing planes out there. Your video and narration was great despite the minor setback at the end. Good Luck on your repairs and look forward to seeing it fly again.

Chris great maiden with a little oops. I have my aileron, flaps, and landing gear all color coded for quick connecting of the wings. Jeff

@@ctrcflyin2011 Had mine out this morning one great flight and one total failure of the ESC and amazing nose first crash and Big bag of small foam and plastic pieces with a nice 6s 4000 up in smoke. I didn't video this flight. Jeff

Hey Chris and Lori! Man Chris, great flights and landings and what a pissa on the third and clipping the powerline! A great save with pulling the gear up and ditching in the grass. Glad to read that minor repairs and flight worthy. If you fly around powerlines, you have powerline stories to tell lol! Thumbs up for sharing! I didn't drive it into the ground. I glided it to the tall errestagrass after clipping an electric wire.

It was just the vertical stab, and rudder. Have already installed a new one. Good as new Travis!

I foam tacked the vertical stab, and flew 9 more flights before going home. We ordered a new a new one. Installed the new one yesterday, and Lori touch up painted the leading edges of the wings. Looks almost good as new. I am glad I opted to keep the gear up, and mush it into the tall grass. Could have been worse. It was a sickening sound when it hit the wire for sure.

Yeah the assembly was for the most part pretty straight forward. The plate of spaghetti wires that took a lot of time. I got it sorted out though. Maiden video will be as soon as Lori does her edit. Thanks Fred!

Look forward to the maiden. Too bad it needs a field wing set up bit most of my giant sized RC Aircraft requires wings off to transport because I do not have a Boxed Trailer as of yet, Even then I may opt to still assemble wings at the field just so I can fit more planes to the field with me. I love to take 4 to 8 planes when I go float flying or snow ops. Good video but rather long. Happy Birthday Baby Boomer.
