Inglourious Basterds - Landa et Shoshana
At the 0:38 mark, Shoshana tries to get up from the table, but Landa forces her to sit back down.
That's what detectives do. They mess with people's minds.
I could not imagine being her in this scene!!!!!!!!!! Trying not to break!!!!!! Amazing composure!!!!!
Их 300000000 я один
Не зря учил немецкий и дочь президента давай поспорим дочь я не обижаю выйди....столько времени дочь путина
Убийство не немецкое дело наше дело ий Ти мы идем
It's amazing, when this movie was made: everyone clearly knew who the good guys and the bad guys were. Now I am concerned even to wave a Jewish flag. This movie came out in 2009.
He would be the perfect Dr. Richtofen if they were to make a COD zombies a movie
sahne macht dick
the germans just looooove reenacting that whole nazi era, huh? like they are in love with those flashy fashionable uniforms like a symbol of german fashion pride. 'fashists' pun intended everyone looked so sexy and so handsome and so alluring during the nazi era, just not those big beaked you know whose
Christoph is a revival of the great traditions invented and promoted by the likes of Brando, Clift, Wallach and Quinn.
Landa wipes the table, Jewish people do the same. Looked over it seems but I doubt he was wiping away crumbs./
Of course he knows!😮
The more i re-watch this movie and the more i am convinced Waltz's Oscar was 100% deserved. More than deserved: it was a must, it was unavoidable. This is 5-stars acting.
That glass of milk, though…..it makes it so hard to think he didn’t know.
The sound of chewing the strudle make me hungry
I think this may be the best scene I have ever watched in a film 😮 the tension all the way through it and we finally see with her crying at the end that she knows exactly who he is and what he did to her family
I don't get how many people here can be under the impression that he knew she was Shoshanna... enlighten me.
Waltz is one of the best actors I have ever seen, and the fact he won in two original portrayals makes his impact on Hollywood even more legendary- I will never forget him
Think of all the businesses that were closed during COVID's so called shelter in place orders and the current protests at America's colleges then apply German Nazi ideologies optics to The Federal Bureau of Investigation as they have always treated Native Americans in such a manner and would travel two hours out of their (the FBI) way to violently take loved ones from their families and would not stop there as a Livestream will have been a tool for "extra credit" former FBI Special Agent Linwood E. Smith III would call it. Truly a joke of an agency in his own right.
Amazing acting and directing the moment when Landa appears to question what is going on and the camera just stays fixed on the girl, simply superb work.
Amber heard is a gay guy...
Dude the industrial-core sounds when Landa walks in gives me goosebumps every time. What a perfect way to encapsulate an unstoppable and incomprehensible machine is entering the space.
3:55, yea, that is legendary these days.
Acting like it's the first meal. They've had all year pretty good.😂
Such tension. Amazing acting.
Türk Devletine Landa gibi Polisler lazim.
Sometimes when I’m hungry I just watch this scene
That music in the beginning is from the entity
As a French speaking person, the wording of the language here is absolutely impeccable. The phrasing wouldn't be unknown to French speaking people at all, but it's definitely from another era, where the French language was still held in high regard. Quentin did it justice.
At the core the colonel is a bully. There is nothing fearful about him. All his targets are much weaker than him. Stop glorifying how scary this character is.
Melanie Laurent’s performance in this movie is a strange phenomenon. I mean, Americans love it but French hate it. How come?
Why most of people hate jews?
There is one russian film (better to say, 1973 Soviet twelve-part television series) called "Seventeen Moments of Spring". The series portrays the exploits of Maxim Isaev, a Soviet spy operating in Nazi Germany under the name Max Otto von Stierlitz. It looks to me, that Quentin saw that russian movie and was inspired be them, because Landa is very similar to Heinrich Müller the Chef of Gestapo in this movie.
Excellent acteur Christophe waltz ,
wait for the cream
😁
Tarantino=GENIUS
Her reaction at the end tells the whole time she was under an immense amount of stress. It's almost like if Landa torchered her psychologically for one more minute she would have snapped. Absolute psychological warfare at its best. Scene was too intense .
I love how Tarantino managed to shoehorn a black victim narrative into a movie about the Third Reich's occupation of France during WW2. Blacks were almost nonexistent in France in the 1940s, but that didn't stop this movie from referencing racism somehow, even though Germany almost exclusively killed white people during that war. Tarantino definitely knows his audience.
It always bothered me that the waiter didn't get all the cream onto the strudel...
Je me rend compte que Tarantino a mis la barre très haut avec ce film !!!
They use the song from the Entity.😂
Held her hand for a prolonged period. Clever, in that her hand might have been shaking just underneath the surface.
I watched this scene over and over. Waltz is pure evil, captivating. I feel guilty liking this work so much.
Perhaps the great suspense scene in modern cinema if not all time?
I want to see a movie where Waltz and Giancarlo Esposito are the bad guys. Their non-verbal acting is incredible.
Does Hans know she's exactly the little girl he let escape back then?
He doesn’t. But a lot of people like to pretend he does. But there’s no logic to pretending that he does
But he knows that she is jewish, that's why he ordered strudel with cream. Because it is not kosher.
The timing of the stare and the pause after Landa lights his cigarette is just enough to raise the hint of a threat without being too obvious. Perfect timing.
Landa enjoyed torturing her and keeping her on the edge. He knew the whole time that she was Shoshana. Landa just wanted to toy with her like a cat likes to toy with his prey.
He knew.
He didnt.
