whenever you encounter someone who tells you what you SHOULD be doing, beware. They have an agenda. That agenda is always actually for the benefit of their ideology. The message also comes down to "do this" or "pay for this." You have that here but it is not at all unusual or strange. The most egregious and pernicious of these agendas is religious. All speak with the voice a god for which no one has any verifiable evidence. When asked for verifiable evidence you get either arguments from flawed "logic" and apologetics or preaching from flawed and even deliberately changed texts that claim to be the word of a perfect god but need endless "interpretation" because the god of the text was unable to say what it actually meant to say. Or you get personal criticism and insult. Often, just asking that simple, direct question will get you all three responses.
