I modded my Blackstar Fly3 to add VARI-SPEED CHORUS!
Here's a new mod I have designed and added to the excellent Blackstar Fly3 guitar amp.
It's CHORUS effect {again} but now with VARIABLE SPEED (the original had one fixed speed). I took the variable speed idea from my Tremolo circuit (see my other videos).
I've taken the Fly3 Purple and - well - made it more purple! I added custom purple knobs and a purple power led. Of course it has the vari-speed chorus mod too.

Here's what really goes into doing the mods I do to Blackstar Fly 3 amps - in this case the Tremolo mod. There's a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) replaced and some crazy soldering to do. No soundtrack so 'Enjoy the Silence' ! Another mod I have designed and added to the excellent Blackstar Fly3 guitar amp. This time it's TREMOLO, an effect I love! I used opto style Tremolo which gives a warmer, softer tone. Bonjour stephane. Je suis désolé. Je ne vends pas de kits. Pour plus de gain clean, il y a une résistance que vous pouvez changer (R6) mais c'est du surface mount - difficile! Ou utilisez une pédale boost?

Hi Horacio. Yes that's possible and I've thought about it. Because of space inside the Fly it would need to use mini jacks rather than full-size guitar jacks. If I get time I'll see if it could be posted as a DIY mod as it should be much simpler than my Chorus or Tremolo mods.

I like your chorus mod as well but you should consider some sort of DIY package as lots of us have a FLY III already.
Hi Michael. Thanks for that. Yeah a couple of other people have ask me about doing the mods themselves. Trouble is the mod is not at all DIY friendly (Ive got a new video in the pipe of me doing the whole Tremolo mod which will give some idea what's involved). If I can come up with a way to offer it as an 'advanced DIY mod' I'll put something out there.
