We took a trip to the famous Alabama Hills , and even found a few hot springs near the Mammoth lakes.
What size tires are you running here? We have a 22' Tacoma with 2.5 in. lift on 35s. Wondering if we'd be ok on that last 500 feet or so..

Nacimiento Road is closed from Big Sur
Prewitt Ridge is an awesome spot!
My buddies done this trail and yes it takes around 2hrs to do. Depending on the capability of your rig and how many people you are with could take longer. But I do have to say the views are amazing. The times he's gone just like the OP mentioned you'll be most likely the only rig on the lake. This trail is typically closed during the winter months.

Never been to Idllywild, is there any places with amazing views, and some mild off-road trails as I'm not a serious overlander but will go off road for scenic views ?
Yes black truck trail, and pretty shady during the summer. I am posing a guide soon. People like to keep these spots a secret.

As far as I know , you could still get there through Los burros rd . The main way to get up there’s been closed for a while .

Hello, what’s the name of that river where you guys went for a swim? Was it difficult to get to?
Did you go on a weekday? Looks nice and empty
I was there on Sunday and Monday . But it was pretty quiet , I think Gas prices got people thinking twice .
It’s listed as “closed indefinitely “ on the fsda site. Any indication why when you were out there recently ?
link site please? according to the rangers station in inyo, it's open.
It is open up to the south fork , once you cross the river , after a mile or so, you come across the fenced area that doesn’t allow any vehicle , only hikers . I think that’s why it’s listed closed.
Good to know. I just saw it “closed” on all trails and fsda site when I googled. I didn’t find more info beyond that

No I don’t think you need a permit . You can search Monahce Meadows on AllTrails and it’s pretty accurate . Make sure you download your map before going there cause there’s no service at all .

Hey man really nice video I currently have a Rubicon but I am going to get an F-150 soon do you think the F-150 would have any trouble taking this route
Honestly I think you could do it . Maybe just AT tires and a couple of inches of lift .

Sorry to jump in here. Planning on going here in September. Is the entrance off highway 1 next to the treebones resort ?? Just trying to figure out the route thanks in advance

@@bubblegumpaige7657 yes , Los Burros -> forest service rd 20s05 -> coast ridge trail . It’s pretty long trail . Cause the short way has been closed for over a year .

No . Plasket ridge was closed in the middle , it entres a private property and it’s gated . We took Los burros rd

I don't have the exact coordinates , but look for big meadow winter trailhead. that's where it starts.
