FIXED…!!! I installed a 0.5 ohm, 5 watt resistor in series with the motor, opened the blower, made space with a dremel to install it and it worked, I use any battery and with that small current limiter the battery is no longer overcharged, it no longer needs to be protected, it no longer turns off

Chino! You da man. Question: after installing the seal kit, I put the pump back together and it won’t spin. The shaft moves freely if you push and pull on it, in and out, but unless the housing is separated from the pump, it will not spin freely. Is this normal?? How much force does it take to rotate when it’s assembled?? Thanks!

Do you check the steering fluid levels while car is warm and running? Please show your carburetor vacuum hose setup and in take vacuum hose setup. You have a hose on the top, rear of your intake on the engine. It goes around the carburetor towards the front of the engine intake. Where does it connect? The books shows an attachment on the carburetor adapter or spacer. I don’t have this. Exhaust comes out of my oil fill location. Also, I have to replace some vacuum hoses under the dash. My engine stalls. The hoses are old.

Yes sir you can. Takes patience. One trick for reinstall is put the upper screw in first but don't tighten, open one end of the neutral switch and slide it under the screw so that you can make adjustments. DO NOT over tighten. You will strip the slot on the steering column.

On a 65. As the window winds down, the tension builds in the spring .. So if you bring the window up and remove it, then press up again, you will be at the end of the tension in the spring. At this point, remove the lower guides from their track and remove everything through the bottom as you describe. Then put on the bench and carry on going up by powering the motor, the spring virtually falls off.. Replace the spring the same way, put mechanism into the fully up position and power the motor to bring the window mechanism down.. enough to be re installed.. I also found opening up the motor gears/cog, they had very little grease so definitely worth checking. Also the pin the spring sits in, if there is slop in the arm, from the back of that pin, gently take out the slop using a ball hammer to massage the head edge down a little. great vids, keep em coming..😎😎👍

This video is a huge help. I was about to buy a new one from The Old Lincoln and Mercury Parts Store... mess of a website and they now demand I send the core to be evaluated if its rebuildable to exchange it. If they say no, they said I'll be charged a processing fee and charged return shipping. If its acceptable, I must then pay an extra 220 dollars on parts I don't need because I already bought them in anticipation of this repair. Hoses and filters and such.
