Most toyotas save 2 gallons for emergencies, like it'll say 14.5g tank but itll be 16.5, so that way when youre in E, youll be desperate to get gas while 2 gallons are still in the tank. It's meant to prevent clogging of your fuel line. I used to drive my blazer around on 45 cents if i had to and eventually it started sputtering and i had to change the fuel line because it was filled with sediment. Too bad toyotas are total junk now.
