Thank you...history occurred here in these halls and walks! WWII was shortened and thousands of lives saved from the actions of people who worked in these rooms.

Yes, It's the Eurostar train when it headed for Paris from London's Waterloo Station. It's still the same train but now leaves from St Pancras station.

Thankyou so much for watching and responding to Judy's magic.. She was unforgettable, in person as well as on the stage, and she would have loved the idea of 'her' song reaching people across the world, sung as only she could sing it. Long live romance!

Thankyou for watching! Judy was unforgettable. She also toured with Noel Coward during WW II, so had a great insight into his material. I've put her 'A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square', which she was the very first singer to perform, on CZcams too - the soundtrack has subsequently gone out of synch with the visuals, but Judy's quality still shows through. I hope to upload a replacement version of this, her 'signature' song, which lifted everyone's spirits in wartime London.

@Ramanujan88 I remember the reading of that in the Lost Boys documentary, it was so beautifully read, almost too beautiful.

Thankyou for watching, I'm really glad I had this short piece of video to upload as a glimpse of Judy's grace and talent. She was able to flood the stage with moonlight in a moment. An amazing spirit, radiant, inspiring, forever youthful - and with a wicked sense of humour too!

what spooky action in the distance of what happened about...things falling from the air, after she sang those times...so real! "I know 'cause I was there," And to whoever uploaded this you are so right! She is with "with undimmed grace and glamour."

how beautiful! I love how she speaks to sing. all the more seeping and bending are the words and her voice. yes, Jane does that too. They are different, though they reflect each other. Would have loved to been an audiance member to appluad Judy (am one now from the other side).

the poem (CON'D).... Promise me a second of your thoughts, one distant day, when I am cold and clammy, bruised and bloody, lost beneath the waves. Promise me the joy of crying in your name - Promise me you'll hold me when I fade into that night that never wakes. Be there when my last tomorrow breaks, and when she sets, and in your arms. In dreams regret can play no part. O Lord!

i'm quoting her grandson, Anno for her: Tomorrow saps my strength before she dawns, as you're not there - you're not born of her reflection, and the cynic in my stomach knows you never will be. Should I die here - in this ecstasy of dreams? Frozen blue/green diamonds in my thoughts, Make me a promise that you will not fade, and promise me you won't forget my name, and what I have within my chest for you.

Thankyou for your lovely comment, Judy would have been so pleased to know that you appreciated her artistry. It was her idea that I film this performance, even though it was against the club rules! Onstage and off, she was always youthful and adventurous, and made every moment special. 'Nightingale' in particular, because the lyrics were written by a lost love, meant a great deal to her.
