This is actually true. Katana is used for emergency, fashion and status which is why they use a Tachi, Uchigatana, Nodachi and Nagamaki. They also use a longbow, Naginata, Bisento and a European Musket.

I’m not any kind of expert or even knowledgeable about Japan, Bushido, Japanese culture (now and past)… but you can absolutely tell that this KID doesn’t give a damn about what his guests are saying or talking about.
