Barockulelen - Lautenförmige Ukulelen mit Renaissance-Rosetten

Der Korpus ist aus Palisanderstreifen zusammengefügt, die massive Fichtendecke ist mit einer 3D-Rosette versehen. Hals und Kopf sind aus massivem Palisander, das Griffbrett ist aus Ebenholz. Moderne Mechaniken sorgen für "gute Stimmung". Obersattel und Stegeinlage sind aus Knochen gefertigt und das Instrument kommt serienmäßig mit einem gedrechselten Gurthalteknopf und einer gepolsterten Tasche.

I'm reminded of the monty python cheese shop sketch.
We bought the baratone model a month ago and absoutely love it. Arrived well packaged and was set up perfectly right out of box. We love the way it plays, it has a clear bright tone which sounds more like an instrument costing far more. The fit and finish is perfect especially the 3d roseette. If you are looking for a real eyecatcher, unlike anything else get one of these. You wont regret it.

How are the other two sets of strings tuned? Are they an octave apart also?
Is that a marke schutz? The intarsia looks very similar to what's on my mandolin.
there is no brand name inside, but the pattern was very common those days.

I’m fascinated to see the making of a whistle by Mr Sweet. My high D whistle I got from him is made from the same material- black plastic. Exactly the same shape as the low D made in cherry wood.

I’ve got low D in cherry and high D in special resin/ plastic whistle from Sweet. They’re my best ones.

@@Folkfriends of course, the way you played that instrument was so calming. I wasn't expecting a song. Im making a baritone and it was nice to see the scale length really increased the volume of the natural harmonics. What you played helped demonstrate the capacity of the baritone.

Massive hit, still going strong! We play this in the Machynlleth session. I learnt it off some friends from Scotland, taught it to some other friends, they brought it to my local folk session when they came to visit, and now we play it in the Machynlleth session and in for folk dances.
