Handle turns on then off and on again

Great video. I have installed a new shower cartridge and Delta handle however I cannot stop the water from flowing by setting the handle to the OFF setting. Any ideas?

I had the problem with it only being cold, thanks to your video I know what the problem is. Somehow the disc is missing, so the limiter doesn't stay in the correct position. I couldn't see it in your video, but would you have the part number for that? I'm having problems trying to find it by searching the internet.

How did we survive without the RLS? Another example of being “protected” by the Nanny State. I am furious as I write this because it is 28 degrees as I write this op-ed, on being inconvenienced because I must dismantle the hardware to hopefully solve this problem. Delta…never again. You have given the unscrupulous plumber a mechanism for creating follow up service calls.

when i installed new delta monitor shower system installed cartridge no water comes out ? the side water stoppers are open still no water?

Thank you so much! I have an updated delta shower handle, so I did not have to remove anything but the handle itself and adjust the knob.

I am so disappointed by this feature on Delta faucets. If I want really hot water I am not able to have cold water because it has to fall within a certain range. Highly inconvenient.

I found this video super useful. Just like some other viewers I followed Delta's written instructions and took the faucet apart, but I didn't notice that the rotational temperature stop is a separate plastic part that sits inside the handle. This saved me a lot of time - and kept me from possibly ruining a perfectly good component. Thanks a million!

Perfectly simple to follow instructions, thank you so much! I have some mechanical ability, and before watching this I tried to tackle it blindly. If I wouldn't have stopped I could have damaged something as I was about to go deeper than I needed to. This video saved me from replacing the entire fixture due to my overconfidence. I'm no plumber lol

The hole where you are sticking the Allen wrench is plugged with some type of plastic/rubber. Am I supposed to puncture it? Is that to prevent me from making the adjustment?

The problem with these Delta videos is that the are prepared by experts who know what they are doing. I suggest that Delta show these videos to a random sample of people off the street and ask them to do the same thing and then see what happens.

If you want a more powerful spray (it’s pretty weak as it is) you’ll need to figure out how to remove the restrictor. But it does look lovely in our new bathroom. Closed on my house September 25, 2019. Sons shower was fine but mine was kind of warm to almost cold. I don't have the same model but I was able to figure this out. Hot showers are here again.

I have the 13/14 model and followed the instructions precisely. When I try to reinsert the white plastic part with ridges, the piece won't sit flat. It seems that in the entire rotation, it only fits in the position where it was when I took it out. There seems to be raised plastic preventing it from going in a different position. What am I doing wrong?

This is written in March, 2019. I recently bought a new cartridge to replace one that was apparently leaking on a series 1400 shower valve. The temperature adjustment is not the same as shown in this video. There is no disk to take off. Once you have removed the handle, there is an integral white dial around the stem that you pull out slightly, using fingernails, and rotate right or left as desired. There are prongs that fit into detents in the back of the dial to make it "click" along. It's easy enough, but is not the same as shown here.
