I take this super clean 1955 Ford F100 out for a spin to show just how to drive a 3 on the tree. its a rare gem because most of these vintage pick ups have been converted to modern V8 and automatic transmission. that just takes away some of the charm in my opinion.

This was the Car Built on a TV show Called Geared Up for Motor Trend, It has a very nice 4 inch stroke Navarro Flat Head with Dual Carbs and a Power Gen so it has 12 volts, Distressed Leather British Racing Green paint job, Sounds unlike anything else and absolutely a blast to drive. #flathead #geareduptv #ralphbiase

I had a 86 f-150 with 300 IL 6 and three on the tree - I loved it - You could sit 3 in the front and still have shift transmission

I can however it’s way to heavy for the 113 chassis. It’s much more fabrication work and way more expensive

The springs are from Brabus, specific to the model of the car, with the rear springs made to work with the factory self leveling suspension. The spring pads are factory with 1 bump all around.

Very good engine choice, would rather have that than a V8 shore horned in it. What kind of hp and torque are getting with the engine upgrades?
I agree. The M103 in-line 6 with a 5 speed manual transmission is a big upgrade from the original engine We installed a hot cam and adjusted the timing a bit make 260ph and 290ft on the dyno. But the car is very light so it feels like driving an early Porsche 911
@@ralphbiase1 Thats about perfect hp wise . I imagine some porting and polishing on the heads could take it close to 280 hp and 300 + torque . I wouldnt want to go over 300 hp on a Pagoda. A manual is a must as well all the V8 ones I have seen are autos......ugh.
@@troynov1965 some clean up work on the heads but not much polishing. we just try to port match to the exhaust. we could make more power but we think this is a good balance that makes the Pagoda much more fun to drive

The 8 hole W124 wheels was something the client who commissioned this build requested. I prefer to equip my Pagoda builds with steel wheels and Hub caps Prices start at 45K for a turn key Restomod, Not including the car of course, Restoration cost Starts at 50K-150K depending on the current Pagoda
