Now we can continue it 2016- Ben 10: Ultimate Mission gets renamed to Accelerator 2017- Someone dies on Splash Canyon. James and the Red Balloon opens. 2018- G Force closes. Wild West Shootout gets renamed to Sheriff Showdown. 2019- The park is unexpectedly closed and reopening was delayed due to COVID-19 And IDK what else happened on 2018 or 2019 2020- The park gets bought by The Looping Group. The park reopens on July 4th 2020 because it was delayed in 2019 due to COVID-19. 2021- Splash Canyon gets renamed to River Rapids 2022- The Viking area opens, bringing 3 new rides: Loki, Thor and Sleipnir. The Buffalo Coaster also got renamed to Jormungandr because it was in the Viking area. Apocalypse closes. 2023- Construction of a new rollercoaster begins in place of Apocalypse. Thomas and Percy's Submarine Splash opens. 2024- Shockwave gets renamed to The Wave. Gold Rush opens in place of Apocalypse. In the queuing of Gold Rush, you can see a tombstone of Apocalypse. It says: In memory of APOCALYPSE 2000-2022 [Logo of Apocalypse here] Gone but never forgotten

The first time I came here was for my gay uncle's EX-BF in 2022. - my uncle got a shout out on Capital (UK radio station) - i rarely went on any rides due to my extreme fear of heights. - My uncle got a Smiler cup and my mamar got a TH13TEEN cup - my uncle's EX-BF won like, 6 free drink tickets after winning an "Alton Towers Quiz" and a Rock-Paper-Scissors game - I got Maccies on the way home. That's it.

First trip from my school birkdale high school in dewsbury was in 1981 .sat on the pirate ship,log flume ,corkscrew, this brought back good memories

Alton Towers is my new favourite park. Loved the rides (But Nemesis is my favourite) but still scared of oblivion will never go on it. Galactica/Air was my first ride and its beautiful to ride on especially I am new to flying coasters
