Now that you watched this, I highly recommend you also check out the animated short "Expiration Date", as well as the "Mann Co. No More" storyline from the official webcomic. You can find some good fandubs of the latter on CZcams. The one by The Beard is very popular, and that channel also has a fandub of the Catch-Up Comic, which recaps the lore up to the point of aforementioned storyline. I don't know if you kept paying attention after you stopped actively playing, but suffice to say a *lot* has happened since Meet the Pyro was released.

Hey there! These main characters are called Astartes, genetically modified super=humans. 3 hearts as well as strengthen plated bone. Just the tip of iceberg as far as enhancements. They serve the Imperium of man. They are boarding a ship full of heretics who do not serve their god the Emperor who sits on the golden throne. They are human rebels. Pre-mission they can be seen waving incense over their weaponse The imperium believes there are machine gods that inhabit even their weapons so they bless them before combat. They encounter resistance if you can call it that from intial humans and then encounter the Psykers. The Psykers channel the energy of the Warp which comes up later as well. Its similar to the Force but much darker and more grim in 40k universe. They are using the spines as the primary source of their abilities. Ultimately the mission is to make the spheres inert and place tech ito make it possible to listen to the beings that inhabit both spheres. Back on the ship they came from the man kneeling with a rosemary is hooked up to a sphere that has already been captured. Once the sphere being starts talking to the astartes and they resist keep advancing the Inquisitor is able to hear the back and forth conversation from the 2 spheres. The point of the difficult-to-understand dialogue is that they failed in their mission to inhabit the vessels that the astartes walked past and create more pskyers to create an upstart cult chaos faction. The unfinished statue is one of (i speculate) more statues they were planning to create. They wanted to inhabit those bodies and come to the material universe so they could become more powerful So they say they need to take the astartes in an act of 'if im going down your coming with me' type of retribution. The inquisitor warns the white astartes commander who waves a subordinate to bring the soldiers back. He races to the bridge which you saw earlier where they were watching the screens. The inquisitor needs immense determination and focus to monitor these spheres and not be overcome by the power of the warp. When he breaks that focus to warn the commander he is vulnerable to possession by the already captured sphere. He sees visions of what the beings are possible and what the future would hold and he becomes possessed by the being who is now no longer in the sphere. When he screens with light shining from his mouth and face its because the being wants to break out of the body into the material world. This is an incursion. In Warhammer 40k Incursions by warp beings/daemons have the potential to engulf and destroy entire star systems killing everything. So yea the fist slam to the face and raking with the bolter was really the opposite of overkill. They wanted to make sure nothing could come through. The sphere aboard the vessel the astartes are on captures them pulling them through into the warp. You see all 5 gripped by the being until another chaos entity consumes the one holding the astartes. The significance of the crack of ice on the floor when they entered the room is that whenever there is demonic/chaos presence everything turns ice cold. Once the first being is consumed the astartes team lead finds himself on the pillar of strange planet. What you see when he rips his helmet off and coughing is his blood immediately coagulating to prevent significant blood loss in battle. The 3 bolts in his forehead signify the amount of time he has served as a soldier in the astartes legion. Last final shot has a detail I missed for the longest time. I missed entirely the pov of main character. He is standing on one of several identical pillars all jutting from the ground at odd angles. In the distance atop those other pillars you can see tiny flashes which are the other astartes being warped to the same planet.

Dead by Daylight actually does pretty well with their pricing in my opinion. You could buy the licensed killers/survivors when you want, and you CAN earn the Original characters with in-game currency.

Fun fact about Ripley's appearance since you mentioned it! The actress apparently despises violent video games so she did not agree to use her likeness. They got permission for Ripley the character only, so they had to change her appearance!
