Was working on it today, and I kind of moved backwards in my progress :S

One more thing and this is for anyone with the locking sf issue. I had to replace the rail guides inside at back of sf itself. Mine where broken and the rails had nothing to grab onto when going in close position.

Hey Guy i know this video is several years old, and i'm sure by now you have fixed this issue. But if by chance not. I just repaired my sf and i found two problems with mine. one the micro switches on the sf motor assy where bad, ( broken physical), So i replaced them. Than with messing with my fuse panel, i found a bad connection at the socket. Reseated the connections as best i could. Woks like a charm now. Also if you every have to bypass the sunroof button at console, Take the neg and pos wires from the trunk light close to the sf motor. and place directly to sf motor. This should let you know if the motor itself is good or not. ( plus you can use the sunroof until you fix the wiring issue. Hope this helps.

On my 1984 944, to remove and re-lock the sunroof, I just stick the key in, turning the power to accessory. Then I just push the switch as if I were to close it (if I'm wrong, to open) and vice versa to re-install it.
