15K Original Mile 1977 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible
This 1977 Volkswagen Super Beetle convertible was acquired by the selling dealer in 2024 and is finished in beige with a black convertible soft top and boot over black leatherette upholstery.
It is powered by an air-cooled 1.6L flat-four equipped with Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection and paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Now showing 15k miles, the car features 15″ steel wheels, BFGoodrich thin-whitewall tires, rack-and-pinion steering, a lockable glove compartment, quarter vent windows, a two-speed fresh air blower fan, and a push-button AM/FM radio.
This 1303 Super Beetle is now offered by the selling dealer at no reserve with a clean Florida title.

“But it’s a 4-cylinder. It’s just a 4-cylinder…” You obviously don’t “get” what this car’s about. It was designed to be fun. The most fun car you could buy. So it’s not about power; it’s about havin’ fun. But FWIW, it weighs only about 2,350 lbs, so 191 hp is plenty. Now ya know.

For a luxury car it hasn't got enough sound deadening in engine bay or cabin, typically German. And the 'diving board' bumpers are ridiculous, typically American.

My wife drove VW Beetles when she was in high school in the late sixties and early seventies. She always wanted a Beetle convertible and after 50 years, she bought a '73 Super Beetle Convertible Karmin package. Maybe I can have her spend an afternoon with you showing her the finer points.
