Thanx4sharing ur progress. The ice machine is really nice to have for making ur own bags of ice. As a solo guy also, I don't have a ice machine but I usually fill water in my igloo carry cooler half full, sat inside in deep freezer and by nxt day frozen block of water in cooler usually keeps all my drinks cold throughout whole day of cutting. That save me from buying ice bags. Stay safe big bro, and I'll catch ur nxt upload.
Thanks for the info on how you do it. I'm going to try your way as well. Thanks again for that new idea
Nope, I didn't get the property. They said they found someone a little be cheaper. That sucks can't win them all.
For my zero lot line properties that are 6,000 sq ft or less, I charge $45 biweekly minimum in a low income neighborhood. I would charge the same for each of your units. I charge $125 minimum for badly overgrown units. I don't get much work and don't know what the competition charge and don't care. I know what it's worth for the quality that I provide and I slowly win customers over. I charge $60 biweekly for 1/4 acre properties and just talked with a potential customer that claims he's currently paying his guy $50 biweekly. I'm solo and want to keep my onsite hourly at $80 hr. Gross personal income (before taxes) is going to be about 55% of that $80 or $44 hr. If I spend 6 hrs per day onsite 4 days per week or 24 hrs week x 40 weeks season or 960 hrs x $44 hr = $42,240 yr ÷ 2080 hrs yr = $20.31 average hourly wage for the year. Working an additional day would only increase the average hourly wage for the year by 25%. This is why your hourly rate must be at a premium to survive based on the length of your season and the cost of living in your area.
Glad I didn’t buy one; even though I almost bought an SG20. Opted for the 20V Dewalt sprayer and hope it works with no problems.
Thanks bro Qwickshoot for me
Nice work looks a lot better.
Interesting.
Can you apply liquid fertilizer/biostimulants to lawn with this sprayer?
I own one for the last 5 plus years. Unfortunately, I have a bearing that is broken and the mower shakes and makes noise when pushing it. Do you know where to find parts?
If you got the exact same one that I have , that mower was discontinued. The Troy built has a similar mower/model you might have to get a hold of them to see if parts are compatible. Thanks for checking me out.
Do ever have any traction issues when loading up after pushing residentials driveways?
So far, I haven’t had any traction issues getting that back-and-forth on there doing the winter season. Traction has always been great. It’s probably due to the four-wheel-drive . Thanks for checking me out.
Is that a 32 or 36 vride? Looking at a 36, but am curious how it does on hills. Can you shed some light?
Ok on hills it’s not the best but ok. Have to be real careful when grass is wet or damp on hills it’s because of smaller tires I believe
Awesome work,, stay blessed all smiles
Thanks
I live east of you in Columbia, (using my mothers account) I im 14 and take care of 17-20 houses a week in a 1.2 mile radius. what I would charge would be 115 for the first mow the $90 weekly and 100 bi weekly. let me know if you get the job!
Your cleanup fee is about what I would charge. The $110 per week, we could never get down here in SC. If we were fortunate enough to get it on a weekly basis, at best $85 per unit. Let us know if you get the property.
I just bought a SG20 and what I did is changed out from that hard rubber hose that comes with the machine to the vinyl reinforced hose that you can buy at Lowe’s and you can set it up a little bit longer and it won’t put much stress on your hand and that’s why your hand is breaking. The hose is stiffer than the handle, peace grace, and peace
Thanks for the tip. I’m gonna have to implement that thank you.
Does it have a kit to stripe the way it does ?
There’s no kit on there. The Scagg stripes very well. It has to do with the build of the velocity deck. Scagg is one of the best striping machines out there they ranked probably one or two you also have to have good fertilized grass for the stripes to come out really well.
Mine is cracked! Im debating ordering a cheap metal one off of Amazon to try out. Cheapest knockoff Stihl handle I could find was $25 for a plastic junk handle that wont last a year. my father went through two of them with his!
I know this is 1 year ago, just curious what kind of truck you have ?
It’s a 2009 Ford F250 diesel 6.4 engine with airbags I had to install due to its squatting when I put my 36 and 52 inch Scagg in there now it doesn’t squat
Good work man. If you tilt your edger at a 45 degrees angle while edging it will make it look more crisp and easier to blow also might be able to skip it the next week depending on what season your in
Thank you for the tip. I appreciate it.
Why do you edge the opposite way? Wheel should be ont the side the concrete is on. Your barley getting and edge at all
Yeah, I had to correct that. I don’t use the edger that much. I rather use the stick edger/weedeater to make my edges. I always feel awkward on the sidewalk side when I use the edger it’s crazy. I usually use the edger to create some sort of edge and then I use the stick trimmer.
👍
Carry tire plug kits, and a battery inflator, brother. Good for anything up to a slashed tire. Walmart or auto parts stores sell them.
Can i get your contact email to contact you ?
I like these❤😅😅😂😂😂
I love your setup! As far as a solo operation I think you got it nailed 👌... one day I hope to have equipment like you own.
its the gas can...
It's the license plate and tail lights trimming..
I will be doing this yard for $425
That looks good🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I get calls for these kind of yards all the time. It amazes me that people don't think they're supposed to pay extra for all of it.
The worse the yard is the cheaper they think you gonna do it for. It's crazy. Its real in the field.
I probably do it for $250 and $70 weekly ✌️👍
They still sell this, now as the Craftsman M430 with front caster wheels, in red rather than the pro series yellow. I have one just like yours. Great mower for my 1/2 acre. My only gripe was the large openings around the spindles to deck mounting - this allows clippings and twigs to massively clog up the belt drive area. I fixed this myself by fabricating metal screens that still allow for airflow - but keep the belt drive areas clean.
It is a great mower, thanks for checking me out i appreciate it
First, thanx for you info and wisdom! I’m glad I found you page! I personally would have act like I’m falling for the whole scam and kept going with it like I was gonna cash it and alll! I’m silly like tht hahaha bless
LET'S GO!💪🏾💯
Facts
Nice first down and quarterback protection
So true.
Facts!
Just pull the spark plugger out.
I recommend using the 48 inch Scag V Ride 2 4 that bigger section of that front yard.
I been thinking about getting a 48 inch, just haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Thank for the suggestion , appreciate it
Facts 💯I’ve went up 15 on my min price.
You hit the nail on the head. We got our first call like this 2 years ago and another one to close the year last year. Yeah, you definitely will be screwed because you'll have to pay the bank back for the full amount. And they want all their 💰... We didn't fall for it cause, like you said, it was to good to be true...
I hate those switches, after mine broke I put a toggle switch on it
Amen brother I pledge
Right now I’m taking all the calls but my daughter and wife might start taking the calls. My season has gotten very busy.
Lowes started selling Toro. saw a timemaster for $1499 today. the price increased but they still use those pathetic weak cables that snap at least once a year
You’re right on those weak ass cables. Each year something goes down on mine cables transmission it something I got a replace my off switch as well.
@@lllawnservice1587 I keep 2 of each in my truck. Takes 10 or 20 minutes to replace. Still though I wish they'd put a thicker cable on it
Maybe the insane mower prices will deture 20 buck chuck from starting a business getting oversaturated. Get a cheap toggle switch for that on off works better did that 5 yrs ago when mine broke. Got a zip tie keeping that spring from jumping off the transmission and throwing the belt. Great backyard mower got about 700 hours on it 10 hp briggs only use non ethanol.
@@user-tg3vw4pd7j Yes I hope so. We need prices to be not so cheap in the lawn care industry. Where did you get that toggle switch from?
@@lllawnservice1587 rural king. Any auto parts store in your area should have one. Just a basic on off switch wired to the wires came off the oem switch. I zip tied it to the side of the rail were the old one was.
Those customers I call “Negotiators”. I personally like to toy (talk) with them to see if they think I’m a sucker. Absolutely not! Sometimes it’s humorous when they realize you’re not giving in. These conversations are good to learn from on how to deal with people that try to take advantage of you.
What's the cut level? Hard to tell from the video but it looks like 4 inches?
your right, its four inches.
65 is way to low for all of that
Your right . This is a family friend and he leaves me a big tip all the time. I also do his fertilizer and his aeration and over seating at the end of the year. I went back again for a one time cut, and he had it all trimmed and edged for me. All I had to do was cut still charge times $65 . I gave him a lower price when he calls for one time cuts since I have a lot of up sales on his property thanks for checking me out .
Misty and kinda wet?? 😂 Yes, I go out until it gets too bad. But if it's been raining for 2 or 3 days like we just got over, that might be a different story. Even today, it's not raining, but I'm going to let things dry a little more til tomorrow, and do some mulch in a little bit.
Sounds like a good day to handle other business. Jump back on your route tomorrow.
