No we found it cheaper than the UK. Excursions we booked before we went with Travel On world (they have a CZcams channel) and found really good value. Prices vary for food and drink but we paid less then we do at home for a family of four. Obviously there is some pricey places but there is lots of not so pricey places and every places we ate was lovely (Pinocchios and mini India were our favourites).

It took about 10-15 minutes slow walk to get to the start of the strip (near spoons and the white lion bars), there was no hills it was all flat. You do pass a few bars and restaurants on the way. We often walked there and then got a taxi back as was only 4 euro for a taxi.

About 5 minute walk to the nearest beach which was a nice quiet sandy one. 15 minutes to puerto del Carmen beach or los pocillos beach.

There was no evening entertainment sadly, but we just went out into puerto del Carmen on a evening

I hope that you have an amazing holiday. Rancho Texas was fab, remember to take swimming stuff as when we went it was so hot and the kids loved being able to go in the pool and slides etc. x

I wasn't sitting with my family on the plane, we booked a 3 and 1 seat so I was sitting across the aisle with strangers. Will try and film next time

@@newcastlefamilylife its where we are looking at for our first family holiday. The wife and kids have never been abroad before. Now we all have passports its the one complex that ticks all boxes at a reasonable price

Special in the town

It was very clean and a nice complex. There is two pools - the main one in the video and then a quieter one and we loved that you can get a sun bed any time of day as you can't reserve them. Breakfast was good 7 euro a adult per day and 3.50 per child and they do fresh omelettes, smoothies etc too. The bar was very good value ie 3.50 for toastie and chips and drinks were same as the regular bar prices. Shop was also really good prices.

Hi, we visited in May. It was fairly busy (most of the rooms were taken) however it didn't feel too busy. There was plenty of sunbeds during the day and seats on a evening we never struggled getting a one. The hotel is not too big either so there there is not tons of guests x

Ah were thinking of going in May next year too. What was the weather like then during the day and night? I’ve been to Santa Ponsa loads of times before but usually between July and august time. Never been in May before x

Sorry for the late reply. The weather was nice, we could sunbathe and go in the pool everyday.

We have booked to go here in May next year. It looks great for kids! My boys will be 8, 9 and 10 when we visit
