How to fold an origami crane

Begin with any square piece of paper. You can create a crane from recycled comic pages, colorful magazine ads, scrap booking materials or handmade origami paper. The tradition of making 1,000 cranes began in Japan, but has become a universal symbol of good fortune, peace and community. The Glenwood South neighborhood of Raleigh, NC is meeting together throughout the fall to decorate a 2015 Peac...
What a great and informative video! Thank you for sharing your skills.
Thanks! I think you have the names of the pliers confused. The pliers you're calling "needle-nosed" are round-nosed pliers. The ones you're calling "blunt-nosed" are needle-nosed pliers. Blunt-nosed pliers are straight at the end -- they don't come to a point (needle-nosed).
Grazie, you are very kind…
It turned out so cute! Thank you for your tutorial.💖
I love the tutorial I find many videos use too much wire this on is great
2023. I am a new older beginner . Questions please. 1)What kind of wire? 2)How long is this stone? 3)How long to cut the wire? 4) how to secure bale from bending backwards? Thank you. Looking forward to hearing from you before I purchase wire.
Thank you for sharing these techniques. I’ve watched several videos and found yours to be the most helpful.
Love the video!
Use your round-nosed pliers to begin the spiral and use flat-nosed pliers to finish the spiral.
A Sharpie pen makes a great mandrel for the bail.
I have been keeping a piece of Jasper with me for years...now it will be a pendant! Thanks for a great video!
Thank you for sharing your simple wire wrap. I especially like let The rock speak to you. I once heard that every rock has a story all you have to do is pick it up and let it tell you it's story. So again thank you for your video
Well spoken and informative thank you for posting !
now throw it at a power line B)
Must be nice to be that Rich… God Bless you Ma’am. Thank You for the video.
I love it 😍 I tried, but mine looks absolutely terrible 😭 My Stone is not Oval...
Love it
Hey Donna, what gauge is the wire?
The best way yet.
now connect it to a copper wire and throw it at the powerlines
SO THANKFUL AND GREATFUL FOR YOUR VIDEO AND TAKING THE TIME TO SHOW ALL OF US THIS PROCESS. WONDERFUL AND SO ANXIOUS TO TRY THIS. BLESSINGS SENT TO YOU.
What do you mean by 18 or 20
Just an FYI... Those are round-nosed pliers. They shouldn't be used to squeeze your loop as they mark the wire. Use your flat-nosed pliers for that. Also, when you cut your wire, use the flush side against the wire; the other side will leave a divot that gives the wire an unfinished look.
You are very good at describing a simple yet stunning design for rock wrapping. Thank you for keeping it simple and elegant. Okay, I am going to try it now.
Love this tutorial! I got some rocks from the Guadalupe river specifically for this. Cant wait to try it out!
Thank you Donna, Very helpful 😀
Awesome teacher.
CORRECTION: The pliers you keep calling needle nose are ROUND NOSE pliers.
Donna you are a breath of fresh air. Thank you!
Can you close the curtain cuz I'm distracted by the BEAUTY OF THAT SEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is matador beach on your back?
c'est joli mais pas pratique du tout car ce bijou va s'accrocher ans cesse aux cheveux, aux vêtements .. et si on tire pour le décrocher le fil métallique va s'ouvrir...
Please mention the names of the tools again.
Hi Donna. Great video and design. My wife and I are just looking into making pendants and I like the idea of leaving the stone natural and not drilling or cutting them. I heard your favorite wire is 18 guage but type of metal is the wire? What is your favorite metal to work with. Thanks. Ronnie
THANK YOU FOR SHARING, DONNA LOVE IT, ITS SO BEAUTIFUL, NICE YOU LIVE NEXT TO OCEAN, <3 JENNY MARTINEZ FROM THE ISLAND GUAM!
Thank you for this video! I love seeing the different ways people wrap their stones while trying to figure out what works for me. I live on the Oregon coast too and am just trying my hand at wrapping some agates! This really helped and I love your easy going and positive vibration, you have such a lovely flow and I know your rocks love it too! 🌀✌🏼
I love your art and the way to talk! Thank you, so much!
I really enjoyed your video which was so gentle and easy to follow, thank you for sharing your talent and making it easy to follow xxxxxx
Those aren't needle-nose pliers, they are round nose pliers. Needle nose pliers are flat on the inside
You have inspired me try this craft. I also your tutorial relaxing to watch, many thanks for adding beauty to the world.
WOW! What a most wonderful view! appreciate the video.
Thank you for a very simple and informative tutorial. Great work!
Very helpful video!! Thank you for sharing!
its hard to see what your doing on all that white table
Nice tutorial, I just wish it was louder. I could barely hear it.
Off topics: 0:04 is it a house you sitting in?! So scary to see thoose high rocks behind and understand that those are made by high water level previously... And now on the very bottom people build houses believing water would never find it way back.
I know this is an older video. I like to go back to this for inspiration. I just want to add for those who don't want to invest in a bail making plier tool, u can use a dowel. (or a pen, eyebrow pencil, etc.) I'm all about wire wrapping on a budget. Tfs
Thanks so much for this inspiring video. My family travels often and I always remind them to bring me a rock. Have a neat stone from Niagara Falls that will be wrapped for my first project. Beautiful scenery in your area!
Very nice! Yes, can we have a tutorial of the one you are wearing? Or see it closer? Please.
Thanks !
