Great video. Some of our clients see this new experience screen on "Create a Team" (Name the first channel) and some do not. Any reason why that would be? Is it a tenant setting in the M365 admin or in Teams Admin portal? Most all clients are on the current version of the Teams Client (we had them check). As for Early Release, we don't have any client tenants with that release setting. Thank you.

Everything that Microsoft does looks half-made. Like you can’t decide how you want your apps to look like. That being said - it would be awesome if Loop became a windows native app, instead of this buggy html mess.

What will happen to the existing General channel? I have mine receiving updates from power automate. Will this stop working?

I like it. Very keen for this to be live in my account and also hoping they get external users being able to see pages sorted soon as this is a massive issue for me and my business.

Dont know why but this doesnt work for me. I can create the new subpage as shown in the video (parent page /New Subpage) but when I go back to the parent page there is no content linked.

Doesn’t work two years later. My colleagues can’t edit in or collaborate to the loop I send them via Outlook. It’s read only for some reason.

How can I increase the amount of nested page levels that are allowed - it only seems to go 4 deep - so crap compared to Notion

I'm testing this out and I don't think the toggle does anything. Scheduled a sets of test situations. #1 navigate directly to the team and then channel schedule a meeting don't add any invitees and leave Send Personal Invites in the default OFF position and send the invite. All team members receive the meeting invite via email. Do the same but toggle it on and the same thing happens. Then I tried going into the calendar in Teams and drill down to the team/channel like you did in the video and the same results. All members receive the meeting invite. As I think about this I added another domain user and it works but not for external members. That is a useless toggle. From what I just discovered the member has to be another domain user. WTF MS this is useless when working with external guest members.

Feeling your pain Darrell, thanks for helping me understand it's not just me. For now, I'm pretty satisfied with a OneNote notebook in a channel tab working the way I like. The notebook ended up in a Shared Documents folder in the Files area of the Channel. The Loop component appears visible in the tab view of the notebook (not off in the corner as with Whiteboard). Everyone in the Team seems to have editing rights. Huzzah! I still had to copy the .loop file into the Channel Files area (it started, as usual, in my OneDrive). I needed to use the "Copy as Loop component" option after opening that channel-resident file, rather than going anywhere near the "Share" option in that component. Someone reply to this post if you find any other drawbacks with this approach. Even if it is a workaround until MS fully supports Loop in a Tab, OneNote isn't a *bad* canvas for Loop, in that you can surround the component with supporting content, like instructions for updating the component. I'm very cranky that Microsoft is taking *away* support for the "Website" tab in Teams (forcing you to open in a browser instead), since that would be one answer to our dilemma, just let us put a Loop Workspace page in a website tab. I understand if they are tired of trying to support full browser functionality in a tab, but ...

You could use the Kanban Component in a OneNote Notebook and then use the titles to link to OneNote Page

very interesting video. Is it possible that the tasks from the Kanban also appear in the Planner? With /task the tasks are displayed directly in Planner/ToDo. Unfortunately I can't do this with /kanban.

Thought I was clever by changing from "Link preview" to "URL", edit the URL and change the "Display text"... but then, when you click the link, it opens the page in a new/external browser window 🙄 I really like the automatic "Table of contents" but wish there was an option for a "global TOC" and that you can easily refer to "Headings" on the same or a different page, ideally with the "@" command how you can refer to a page (or external document). On a different note, do you by any chance know when "mermaid" support is coming to the Code component aaaaand, do you you know it it'll actually render the diagrams in the Code component?

I love the kanban component just as it is. The only thing I miss is that they don't sync with planner. I love using planner on Teams as my central hub for everything task related assigned to me.

Love the linking. I agree that in the call out main detail page, you would need to stress no dates on it and use the kanban card / table and also indicate that the page is a child of the Kanban card. Also linking back to the board task from the child detail page is needed. It’s something i have always done in notebooks with pages and sections and paragraphs as is saves a lotta time
