Could this be the best ever IOM TT Tribute motorbike ever built? This is for you to decide. It certainly is for me. It has brought a huge amount of pleasure to all who have seen it on the rare occasions it has been out. Having said that I have covered 2500 miles since I bought it. It is a joy to ride and it has attracted a lot of attention. The longest ride was 140 miles in one day but I needed...

Here in this video I am going to let you into the secret of being able to build yourself a very effective and low cost sheet metal folder that you can mount to your work bench when you need to use it. In total, this only cost £90 or $113 to build. Scrap yards are your friends. Here is the link to the 1m Angle Iron that I bought for the clamp. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273949145364?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkr...

Looks fun
It keeps me entertained 😁👍
Sweet video Paul!
Thank you Steve. I enjoy making them. I just wish CZcams would show them to more people 🤷🏼♂️
Very nice work. I can do with one. Thinking of making one myself
Hey, thank you. It was quite challenging for me as I had never built one before. But if I can then so can you. It is important to spend some time making sure the hinges are set up in line with each other especially if need to use the whole length of your folder. It is currently on my bench as I am using it to make some bespoke panels for the bulkhead on my project car. Good look with your build..👍
gotcha from fb page
Good one, I enjoyed watching that thanks for sharing. Looks like you guys had fund and the bike looks stunning.
Glad you enjoyed it👍
THX for this Video, very Detailed and helpful . Will do the Job on this Weekend. Interesting I buy the ATE Sensor because of the good Brand Name. Price here in Germany is 46€ incl Shipment. Also got the Icarsoft. Next Job, after the Sensor on the Car is the R/H Xenon Bulb wich will be Tricky but the SW show me sometimes Fail and on an 10 Years old Car it will. However THX for the VID, the first here on YT wich is so Detailed.
You are very welcome. I am glad it was helpful for you 👍
great piece of equipment and a nice easy description of how to build it and the stock you need. Thanks for sharing
You are very welcome. Good luck with your build 👍
What a great job and tool!! I have some old bed rail kicking around I might play with now.
It certainly is. It's on my bench ATM and was using it to straighten out a previous bend on the bulkhead panels l am making. I certainly couldn't have made the bespoke chassis rails without it.
Nice one Paul 👍🏻
Thank you Terry 👍
Very helpful💚🇬🇧🌱
That's good. Wishing you all the best for your build 👍😀
Well done Paul, keep the vids coming. 👏👏
Thank you David. CZcams is probably my biggest challenge. I invest a huge amount of time and effort in the videos and I am now trying different editing techniques. Hopefully the future content will be better and more engaging 🤞
This is a very common fault with this car. Very informative and useful.
That's great. I'm pleased it was helpful 🙂👍
Looking great Paul!!
Thank you Steve. Should have it back on its wheels with all the rear end finally built up for the last time.
I can tell by the music that you're one of my people.
I love great music 👍
Wonderful
Thank you so much 👍
What mask did u use ?

I had my datatool scorpion tracker wired to my new bike by the dealer. How do I install the battery on the tracker fob?
I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with that type of fob. If I were you I would ask Google or look at other CZcams videos. Good luck 👍🏻
Excellent and loads of helpful tips here, too. Will also be spraying EM121 as the weather warms up. Thanks!
Thank you for leaving me a comment. I'm really pleased you found it helpful. One thing that you should pay close attention to is the Dew Point on the day you decide to spray. I have seen a lot of paintwork spoilt because of water in their system.
Great preparation, prevents wheel bearing failure! Does David have another set of Timkins?
Thank you for leaving me a comment. I'm pleased you found it interesting. I haven't heard from David for some time now. I'm trying to think about the bearings I have spare as I did buy 4 of one even though I only needed 2. They are TIMKEN bearings.
@@itsalldoable many thanks for your reply. It’s a job I would like to do, particularly on the N/S. So if you have 2 spares, available I’ll have them off you?
@@bernardwarr4187 I will have a look at what I have, next week, for you. Please drop me an email. Kind regards Paul
@@itsalldoable hi, I can’t find your email details?
it's under channel details
Thanks for making these. I saw you post on Facebook with a link today about your videos (and then couldn't find the post again, but did find your videos). Really helpful to watch - I'm about to do this on my GT6.
Thank you for leaving me a comment. I hope you find them useful. The Rotoflex rear end is certainly a bit unconventional and tricky to get it set up right. But "it's all doable" and you don't need any special tools as I show in the video. Feel free to ask me any questions if you get stuck. Kind regards Paul 👍
It's not so easy with the body on, and doing it from underneath the car!
Very true. I just like to double check things. It probably wasn't clear to everyone what I was doing 🤔
What's the tune. changes😅😅
It tells you at the bottom of all Short Videos. " Bruce Hornsby, The Way It Is".....🙂
Nice! Plenty of work space now. I must send you some pics of various MG replicas l have found.
Yes, it's a great addition. I can get back on with the car project now. Still plenty of work to do 😁👍
Why all the noisy music?
Why not 🤷🏼♂️😁
You will never get enough space no matter what you build on. But we all try! Good luck 😂.
I know what you mean. I will certainly help me and I will still have to keep things tidy. 🤔😁👍
I remember the skirting on the conservatory being somewhat easier Paul.
Yes I remember. I picked this timber myself 🤔😁🤣👍
Awesome matey, my NSR is definitely going to need your treatment .
This evolved from my personal lack of confidence in anyone else doing a good job on the parts for my project car. I've only got a few parts left to powder coat on it now. I do get a few parts for other people to do. Maybe when the car is finished I should start up a little business. Seems a shame to not make good use of the kit I've built. 🤔
Hopefully not, I have a list of jobs left to work through. I've managed to do it all under £800 so pleased with that 😊
These jobs always take far longer and cost far more than you thought - normally there will be couple of small things left undone, that will be a niggle for years.
on my triumph GT1050 sprint if I remove the seat it disarms the alarm so i can work it or remove the battery. without the alarm going off.
Good luck with the build, it looks like you’re on the homestretch 🎉
Cheers Trev 👍, I'm about 1/3 the way across the roof and all the tricky jobs are behind me now, so it should be plain sailing 🤞🤞🤞
That will be excellent!
Yes it will. Had a few issues with material supplied but the bit that is covered is doing what it should. Looking forward to getting back on the car tbh.🤔
Good Tools, parts, knowledge, ability & most of all, storage and working space are ALL important ingredients to a successful build!
I couldn't agree more. This is something I should have done before now. Ah well, at least I will be able to spread out a bit. No more working in a cramped workshop 😊
Have you considered the Morris Minor steering wheel(early version) as fitted to the original TF?
That's a nice idea and I didn't know that. I have kind of set my heart on a nice new 4 spoke Moto Lita steering wheel with the color to match the dashboard.
Great video, thank you for sharing. I've just bought the same metering valve you have and plan to make a similar hopper to yours, but I was wondering how you connected the hopper and the valve together?
No problem glad it was helpful. I used a steel steam pipe double nipple cut in half. One end screwed into the metering valve and the other end was welded to the bottom of the small steel hopper I made.
@@itsalldoable thanks for the reply. Did you use a 1" BSP thread?
@@darrengroves9 I took the metering valve to the plumbers merchant and matched up the thread.
Thanks for that very useful lnformation. I have a Gentry on steels(14”) and l am fitting 15” spoke wheels so this is very important. Love your channel.
Hi Roger, Thank you for leaving me a comment, it really does make it seem worthwhile putting in the effort. Yes, the Gentry will look better with 15" wires although the Naylor TF runs on 14" . I have TR4 60 spoke wires on mine. I'm so pleased my video has been helpful. There's a lot more still to come. Thank you for your ongoing support 👍
@@itsalldoable Many thanks for your reply. Unfortunately lm not an engineer, just someone who has a love of older and more simpler cars, and the Gentry seemed to fit the bill. I’m getting my adaptors from MWS anyday now,so then l know what to look for. On a slightly different note,l came across a “1955” MG TF made by Harper Roscoe from Cheshire. Have you seen one?
@@rogerburrows2429 MWS is where I had my wheels and hub adaptors from some 38 years ago. I doubt you will have the same issue as I had but it's well worth checking. I was an engineering apprentice when I originally had my faulty adaptors and didn't realise. No, I haven't come across that car. Maybe you can send me a link to view some photos of it , if you came across it on line. Kind regards Paul
All Triumphs deserve an overdrive
Looking great Paul!
Thanks Steve, still a lot more to do. I'm just building a carport to extend my under cover space to help the project through the winter months.
Love your work 👍
Thank you for your on going support. We are getting there albeit slowly 😁👍
If it's worth doing, it's worth more seeing it done! Thanks
That is good . I'm glad it helped.
What does the finished product look like?
It can be seen on both the intro and outro of the longer videos on the channel.
Time is your friend, not your enemy. Get the tools perfect. Enjoy the results!
Thank you, that is generally the way I do things 👍
Clever man who designed and built his own oven and powdercoat line..
Thank you, it did take me about 12 months to get everything in my rather small workshop how I wanted it, before I started working on the car.
Skills 😊
Yas
Thank you 👍, it's really just a case of taking your time and carefully working the steel. It is quite straight forward really.
It's taking shape Paul, nice one
Thank you Mark, it is but still a lot more work to keep me out of trouble 🤦🏼♂️😁
Hello brother, you Just left a nice comment on my channel so I took a peek at yours. You have an amazing channel so I had to sub! 😊👍 I definitely will be watching your videos from now on. See you on the next one. ARCO-MN OUTLAW CUSTOMS (outlaw edge CZcams channel)
Thank you for your kind words. I'm finding some very interesting and useful channels myself as I do my research before tackling the car. I'm really enjoying the metal work side as I am trying to make the new bespoke panels look factory. The techniques you show are really helpful. I end up wanting more tools though 🤔😁👍
Hi Paul. Love your work 👍
Thank you. 👍 The car is on its wheels now and I am currently working on the bulkhead. Thank you for your continued support 👍😎
interesting what you have done with the copper pipes from your compressor, what psi do you run them up too, I would have a fear of poppage. Danny
I run it at 90 PSI 6bar. Have not had a single air leak. I was very clean with my joints and used silver solder too. 👍
@@itsalldoable cheers mate I will look into it
@@DGRetroCustoms I run a blasting cabinet without an expensive air dryer and have not had any problems with clumping. Mind you my compressor is in my workshop and I run a dehumidifier at 50% . 45% when spraying.
@@itsalldoable my compressor is outside lol, i draim the tank every other day lol
Hi Paul. Love your work 👍
Thank you 👍. I have moved into the bulkhead now, so making 8 bespoke panels to skin it in steel and ensure all the services that pass through or over the bulkhead have been accounted for a have the correct apertures and seals.
