I remember being out to eat somewhere in my hometown when the news broke and then going home & listening to the initial reports on ESPN & I was just in complete shock. I was at the last game Paterno coached (the snow game against Illinois) & even then I never saw this coming. I also was there when he won his 400th game. And in an instant. it seemed that none of it mattered anymore. I'm a VA Tech Hokies fan in an entire household of Penn State fans, so this was a notable, sad event for us as a CFB loving family.

Of course Paterno could've gone to the police, but he thought campus officials would do that if something had happened. He wasn't GOD like everyone thought.
