He was so sick and lost back then. His pain bore us this exquisite fucking masterpiece along with all the rest. Ive heard people say that they miss the fucked up everyday wasted Jason and the music he made then. No one who genuinely loves him should think that way. This man got sober and fell in love and they brought Miss Mercy into the world and he is revered and respected as he ought to be. His head is still crazy.. there is still incredibly poignant music pouring out of him to this day. I would argue that his latest album is the best one of them all. He gets better and better. I'm SO grateful for the music he made back then.. but I'm more grateful, still, that he's not this hurt broken boy that he was in this video 13 yrs ago.
