I am from Jamaica great information.
We are using brooder plates instead of lamps, we are doing natural day and night cycles, would they be less inclined to eat in the dark?

8 to 10 weeks is normal timing for a Cornish cross. I usually start harvesting at 8 weeks with the largest ones and leave the smaller ones for another week or two till they're ready.
