Better to take a course. Apprenticeship is a risk, the barber can drop you at anytime. You basically need a clientele before Apprenticeship or you have no one to cut hair on. So much for learning, you'll just watch all the time and sweep floors. You can't get a license that way. You also don't get paid. The barber can actually charge you. Just a heads up

@richnatural6429 already explained! Barbers are not obligated to keep you as an apprentice. Also, not barbers will pay you, you may have to pay them money for their time teaching you. So a course is the way to go!
@@mikelandry3375 7 out of the 13 barbers I work with literally went the apprentice approach and got licensed with no problems at all!
