They have to do that. The national media has shit all over Watson and the Browns for 2 years now, there's no way they're allowed to rank Watson any higher. Don't get us wrong, we loved Baker when he was here, but to have him top-15 is wild. He's got him above Kyler Murray, Brock Purdy and Tua. I could argue he should easily be behind all 3 of those guys. Deshaun will be fine as long as he avoid injury, which is always a risk with anybody playing football. The NFL had 66 starting QBs in 2023, the most in history, and much of that number was due to injuries at the position. Simms also ranked Caleb Williams ahead of Deshaun, so putting a rookie who's never taken a snap ahead of a 3x Pro Bowl passing leader QB is pretty hilarious. He even ranked Daniel Jones ahead of Deshaun, which tells me this isn't a serious ranking.

@@TheDawgsPodcast yea I agree with putting deshaun 24th. He has not played consistently productive football since 2020. And over the last two year he has just played terrible and all his per game stats reflect that terrible play too. Over the last 2 years he ranks 53rd in pff grade among qualified passers, and 38th in qbr over that time. In 2023 alone he ranked 29th in completion percentage and since becoming a brown has only completed 59% of his passes. Sims also went on to say on film he looks like he lost all his passing instincts and at times his mechanics look awful. This is what I've been trying to tell people the last few months. Meanwhile baker won another playoff game made the probowl and finished top 9 in passing yards, and tds. Top 12 I'm passer rating. So I think 15 is fair for him.

You’re 100% right and I’ve actually said that same thing before. They’d tell themselves the defense or Nick Chubb won the whole thing and DW had nothing to do with it.

Let's hope he can just win a single playoff game first. Or let's hope he doesn't finish 29th in completion percentage and pass yards per game again this year. Or lets hope he just plays more than 6 games.

@TheDawgsPodcast I want the Browns to win so bad. I've been on the bandwagon for 50 years! From top to bottom, I don't ever remember having this kind of talent.

Let's hope he avoids injury. Don't get too wrapped up in the stats. If he has to average a high passing yard total to win games, it means our run game isn't very effective and/or our defense isn't playing well. This is the NFL, not Madden, and if the QB only needs 185 yards for the team to win 24-3, then that's freaking incredible.

This is easily the best roster build we've ever seen. I'm just PRAYING that injuries don't dismantle all of AB's hard work like they did last season.

Yup baker would only cost you around 33 million a year instead of 64 million and has clearly played better than deshaun since the trade and has achieved more In the playoffs. Terrible move by Berry.

Baker only had a "better" season last year because Deshaun got hurt. Before that, he was on 4 different teams in one year. Let's wait and see if he actually puts together his first-ever back to back good season stretch of his career before we start foaming at the mouth over contracts (which has not stopped the Browns from building the deepest roster in the NFL, by the way).

Yea Flacco had this offense humming, the team really got a spark when he took over, the whole city felt it. And the fans in stadium were going crazy! What a great time. Felt like 2020 when baker and browns won in playoffs.

Yes, that was a fun ride. But it was a temporary solution and definitely not a sustainable situation, which we saw come crashing down horribly in the playoffs. Just need health on our side and 2024 is going to be a whole new kind of electric.

I was thinking the same thing. Only the Rookies should have OTAs during the off-season (Mandatory) The veterans if they want to show up to get some work in, so be it. Other than that, the Vets show up for start of camp.

I saw that post on X, those are exactly the type of deeper metrics that show just how good Jeudy is and why the Browns did what they did trading for him and locking him up for future years.

@@TheDawgsPodcast Josh, In my opinion and I don't know if you agree but it will also be the domino effect on the rest of the WR room and many of them have different skill sets that make it great than the sum except that many of them are very good route runners except Tillman for now.

@@TheDawgsPodcast I don't agree on this. They lost 3 of their 5 starting offensive linemen and Staley isn't as good. Henry is towards the later part of his career and the defensive line isn't that good overall now. Queen and Stone will also hurt. WR room is very weak after Flowers. Lastly, you need to realize how many coaches they lost that were valuable this past off season which will make a big difference internally and chemistry.
