Who ever filmed this done a terrible job’ everything was filmed too close so you cannot even see the layout.

Beautiful unit. I could happily clock up the miles. I'd be interested in the solar and lithium set up in view of going for sustained off grid.
We love it too! This Discoverer Xtreme is fully equipped with solar panels built into the roof of the motorhome, and the lithium batteries available in all the private Discoverer Xtremes are backed up with powerful high-output alternators to keep you going.

Hallo there. U said this motorhome can be driven with a Class B license in southern Africa, now I want to know it's exact weight after the build. I know from your competitors that theirs is a 7 tonner. Could it be that yours is that heavy as well?
This motorhome has a Tare of above 3500kg, so you'll need a C or EC licence to drive this motorhome. Only if a motorhome has a tare of below 3500kg can it be driven with a class B licence. The GVM is 7ton, the tare is approx. 4900kg. Listen here. spotifyanchor-web.app.link/e/kHuc4lk78Jb

I love looking at what you got on display. Quality seems excellent! I'm just a bit worried about the electronic equipment you are fitting. Who can repair it once you are in remote areas?
Good question. We fit mainly large brand equipment, that has presence worldwide and online resources, eg Victron Energy. Other minor equipment (that has been thoroughly tested throughout the years) we support ourselves or through our partners.

Well here in Johannesburg we have intermittent electricity and the water grid is falling apart due to corrupt politicians refusing to do maintenance because they think that money does better in their personal bank accounts. Crime is always an issue but is largely concentrated in certain areas which no tourist should ever go near. There is random brutal violent crime but again it is area specific. We have an election on 29th May and there is a very high possibility of violence in the province of Kwazulu Natal which is the traditional area to the Zulus who are picking between the ANC, Inkatha Freedom Party and a new party started by disgraced former President Zuma who has a huge Zulu following. The violence is likely to happen between Zuma’s faction and the ANC, with sporadic incidents already happening. Polling suggests that the ANC will fall below 50% in the national election but I expect real change only to happen after the 2029 elections. All in all South Africa remains a great place to visit but you must only do so with local advice in order to avoid violent hotspots. I suppose its a bit like the US where you have cities like San Francisco and New York that are falling apart due to ridiculous ideologies and policies but despite all that I would still visit the US avoiding places like that. It’s just a pity that corrupt politicians and public “servants” have such a negative effect on wonderful places. In summary SA is a wonderful country with wonderful people and destinations but there is a hardcore of corrupt individuals ruining it for everybody else. What can we do? Well I pray a lot, walk the Christian path and always have my 9mm when I have to go through the hotspots for work.

The Discoverer 4 is rear wheel drive only. The Discoverer Xtreme is a permanent 4wd motorhome.
