Amazing food, extremely clean and everything operates so efficiently. Somewhat isolated four a tourist who doesn't know a local though, but I've heard it's like that in a lot of East Asian countries. When I shared a photo of myself at the top of the Burj Khalifa, my dad thought I was on an airplane. Dubai is hot, sandy, and honestly not very impressive unless you like spending a lot of money shopping in their mall. I did enjoy myself though, and was impressed by the ambition of building such a wealthy city in the middle of a desert.

What do you do for work to afford this?
I run a startup called HousingPanda.
"I guess that's why they left the EU, they weren't ready to integrate." Tell us, oh wise one: what supra-national organisations does the US submit to? (Great to see that you DIDN'T Uber from the airport in the end!)
The United States is willingly subject to the International Olympic Committee based in Switzerland.
The signs. Why stop at Chinese? Why not Japanese, Korean, Hindi? Where do you stop? It makes sense to have some Spanish on US signs in some areas. Just like it makes sense to have Welsh on some signs in parts of the UK...
Oh dear ...
Sad to know that we won't get to see your new videos for a few months. Be back soon!
I will!
Are you going to carry on vlogging, I have enjoyed them?
Glad you enjoyed! I definitely will continue but this is the last video of this series and likely will be the last for a few months. I have some ideas for some other content I want to make besides travel vlogging as well though. So stay tuned!
@@tomblaise What else in particular are you thinking of?
@@CarpeNoctem328 I’m thinking of making some content related to the books I read. I’ve been aiming to read the entire western canon (basically the foundational books of western civilization) for a few years, and I’ve recently started working my way through them. Nasty comment leave people alone
The English language thing in the UK shouldn’t surprise you. If you travel to France, airport signs will be in French and English - in Italy, Italian and English - in Spain, Spanish and English. It’s the same in just about every major airport in the world. The reason for this is that the local language is the primary language for local people, whilst English is added as a ‘Lingua franca’ to facilitate communication among people who who speak a diversity of different languages and who often adopt English as the common language of communication - something that is common in an international airport setting. This brings us back to the UK. The local language is English, and so too is the Lingua franca, so all the signs should, by convention, be only in English. In the USA, airport signage is predominantly American English which is sometimes supplemented with additional languages based on the linguistic backgrounds of the regional communities that the airport serves. The problem in London is that there are over 300 different languages spoken in the local communities. If London catered to all those languages, there would be no room in the airport for passengers - there would just be too many signs!
Lol your only flying to the uk done the opposite many times not that bad.
NYC has always tried to be London or Paris, unfortunately it will never have the class or style. Cool city, but a concrete 'skyscraper jungle. My opinion, I welcome others to disagree. x
You get nauseated not nauseous.
Webster Dictionary Says: nauseous adjective nau·seous ˈnȯ-shəs ˈnȯ-zē-əs Synonyms of nauseous 1 : causing nausea or disgust : NAUSEATING the nauseous smell of rotting garbage 2 :affected with nausea or disgust When the medication makes her tired and nauseous, she works at home instead of going to the office. Nauseous vs. Nauseated: Usage Guide Those who insist that nauseous can properly be used only to mean "causing nausea" and that its later "affected with nausea" meaning is an error for nauseated are mistaken. Current evidence shows these facts: nauseous is most frequently used to mean physically affected with nausea, usually after a linking verb such as feel or become; figurative use is quite a bit less frequent. Use of nauseous to mean "causing nausea or disgust" is much more often figurative than literal, and this use appears to be losing ground to nauseating. Nauseated is used more widely than nauseous when referring to being affected with nausea.
@@tomblaise yes it's changed over the years because of ignorance.

'We'll see what else London has to offer!' The understatement of the year! 'When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford.' Dr. Samuel Johnson.
Whilst I was training at a hospital in North Lincolnshire I took the opportunity to fly to and spend a few days in New York City. My departure date was Friday the 13th of November, 1992 - with a 10 : 30 am local time departure. I had booked a room to stay in Central London over the night of the 12th, but became anxious about missing the mid morning flight. I therefore took a train down to Central London and then another one out to Heathrow Airport on the 12th. Ergo, by the time I reached Heathrow I`d been awake about 10 hours. I didn`t sleep a wink overnight in the departure lounge at Heathrow..... So another 12 hours has to be added to the 10 I had already spent being awake and upon arrival at Heathrow. We left London at 10:30 am ( at which time it would have been 5:30 am in New York ). I landed at JFK at about 1pm, local time - which is another 7.5 hours being awake. Upon leaving JFK and heading off to Manhattan that City-Scape awoke me further, it was a Friday night and I probably ended up jumping into bed at the Wellington Hotel at 55 St and 7th Ave at about 2am, which is another 13 hours. I lose count of the numbers of hours I must have been awake.... But I had a lot of fun whilst there in America`s greatest city. Americans go on about New Yorkers as if they are a breed apart. I found the vast majority of them quite charming.
Only one type of coffee in London . I'm not going back.
what are you talking.. sorry my bad - lying about? weirdo.
All the EU countries use signs with symbols to identify what the sign means, the UK did not take down the signs when they left the EU. In Cardiff obviously the signs are in 2 languages.
Also the signs at the Eurostar terminal in St Pancras station are all in French as well as English.
I worked in travel and tourism. Most Brits do not speak European languages, nor do they live in Europe. They do occasionally visit Europe as tourist or for cheap sunshine holidays. There’s no point in Britain being Eu. The opposite happened. Most Europeans came to the UK. This is why Britain changed very quickly literally overnight. The Brits according to my experience in travel, mostly travelled, migrate, relocate to English speaking countries, mainly in the Commonwealth realms Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the Caribbean, and Florida in the US. The Brits travel mostly everywhere except Europe. Mexico, Japan, Thailand are also other favourite destinations.
Think you went to the British Museum; there is a Museum of London as well, which is about the City's history (currently closed while moving to a new home). By the way, behind the National Gallery is the National Portrait Gallery which is completely separate and I find far more interesting.

Foreigners integrate, Britons dont - my boy!
Its still Czech Republic. Czechia is just short name like Germany and Federative Republic of Germany, or France and Republic of France. 😉 And the not high percent of religious people is not conected with 40 years of communist regime that much (by the way, to be religious in communist regime was legal), because there are not too many religious people in Finland, Sweden, Netherrands where they didn´t have communist government. 😉
Interesting! Thanks for the info!
@@tomblaise Actualy its not very interesting, its pretty normal. Most of countries have longer and short name. Or do you normaly call your country The United States of America, or just America?🙂
Your comments about Europe are rich, coming from an American. What great monuments are the US building? - the Empire State Building, which looks blander than many Soviet sky scrapers? - the Statue of Liberty, which was built in France? - Mount Rushmore, which is four tiny heads drilled into a sacred place for Native Americans? - the White House and the Capitol, which are just the most boring buildings historicism has to offer? - the Las Vegas Sphere, which looks like it was "made in China"? "Europe doesn't produce anything": Europe produces more than the US and European products are of higher quality. Nobody in Europe drives American combustion engines and Tesla and Boeing are giant piles of trash when compared to European EVs and Airbus. "Europe has no vision": You've been to the EU parliament and haven't learned anything. Peacefully connecting people across ethnic divides like that is unparalleled in human history. Thirty years ago Poles were seen as thieves and unwanted low-skill immigrants in Western Europe, but now, thanks to the EU, they are fast approaching the living standard of the UK. What similar future do the US envisage for Mexico or even Fly-Over-America? And what great reforms can we expect from a political system where only two parties (Dems and Reps) can't reach the tiniest of compromise? The EU Council has 27 members who can each veto decisions and yet they manage to reach compromises and pass legislation. But I forgot: They don't meet in a historicist building. When I listen to American politicians I hear: "isolationism", "protectionism", "MAGA", ... . Do you think that is a vision for a brighter future? Europe used to rule the world, America still does, but everyone can see the writing on the wall and American politicians seem to be hell-bent on ending American hegemony sooner rather than later. While European empires at least left some pretty buildings behind, what will be the American empire's legacy? Facebook and Marvel's "The Avengers"?
My comments aren’t intended to be argumentative and are simply my perspective on Europe informed by the many Europeans I spoke to on my trip. Have you been to the United States? If not, perhaps you’re guilty of the same bias you accuse me of. Calling Tesla a giant pile of trash doesn’t seem reasonable when they produce the best selling EV in Europe. That said, thanks for watching my video and I’m sorry if it offended you. I was out with some Italians I met and after having a conversation with them (and maybe one too many glasses of wine) I was reflecting on that conversation on my walk back. I hope you have a good day though! 😃👍
@@tomblaise No, I have not been to the US, but I've heared great things about the national parks and find certain aspects of American culture very interesting. There is definitely a lot to admire (or even envy) in the US and my comment doesn't reflect my true feelings for the country. I was trying to mirror the negativity I tend to hear in many American covereges of Europe, that I was also sensing in your comments. Europe has many problems, but saying it has nothing to offer but ruins and food seems quite unfair and can't explain why there are currently thousands of people fighting and dying in Ukraine to be a part of it. It doesn't surprise me, that Italians are pessimistic about the future. They were among the worst affected by the 2008 Financial Crisis and the COVID pandemic, have one of the lowest birth rates in the EU, haven't had much, if any, economic growth over the last years and their young are emigrating in large numbers. Italy however, is not a good representation for the entirety of Europe. That said, I really liked the rest of the video. I think you are an entertaining person and you managed to get some great footage.
Even the great architect Boeri has said that Milan is much more like Paris than Rome. Architecture, fashion, multiculturalism etc.. In the past poets, writers and painters used to gather in Montmartre (Paris) and Brera (Milan). Turin is another city that has a very different architecture from Rome and much more similar to Paris or Milan (for ancient historical reasons). However, Turin has a much more pronounced esoteric side...
Cool! I guess I’m not original in that observation. 😂
Venice looks awesome! The summary at 22:18 had me crack a smile. I am actually looking to start an ancient coin collection---Augustus! What a great find.

Compared to some other cities I went to, Prague actually had very little graffiti. Definitely one of my favorite cities in Europe

If you come to Berlin again on a Sunday and need food or medicine, go to one of the larger train stations. There you will find open supermarkets and pharmacies. Pharmacies open on Sundays can be found all over the city. Ask about it at your hotel. Have a nice stay then.
Thanks. I’ll remember that for next time. Hopefully I’m not sick next time as it generally put me in a bad mood and made me skip out on a lot of stuff I was planning. 😃👍
Couldn't watch the whole video cause u're too cute. You remind me of my bf who left me two years ago. Still heartbroken.
Sorry to hear that! Hopefully things have been better for you since. 👍
The graffiti at the Brandenburg Gate were a very recent attack from climate activists. A pharmacy is call "Apotheke" in German and he just passed one when he talked about it. Certain pharmacies are open on Sunday. It should say on the door which is the next in service or you look up online.
I didn’t know it was from climate activists. I guess when you see people throwing paint on artwork it’s not surprising they will do the same to national monuments. 😔 I went to at least 4 Apotheke’s that said open and I quit after trying the last one in the video was closed as I had a huge headache and didn’t want to keep wandering around. Thanks for the info though! Learned something new today.
