New Hampshire Spring Turkey Hunt
Turkey hunting adventure with my dad. This video was from the 2023 season. We had a great time. If you watch the Pittsburgh NH Fishing and Camping Adventure video we posted last year in June you will see my dad and I cooking up the turkey that was harvested in this video. It is always a blast hunting with my dad. We will be out in May of 2024 hunting for turkey again. Hope you enjoy this video.

Tenting Adventure in Winter Storm

In this video I heard there was a winter storm coming into New England and decided to set up my Marmot Thor 3 person tent. I spent 2 nights in the tent and had 2ft. of snow come down on us. I cover things I do when in a snow storm and what to do with the down time.
Lake Eligo Vermont Ice Fishing

Camping and Fishing in Lincoln New Hampshire

In this video we did a 4 day three night campout at Hancock Campground in Lincoln New Hampshire. We took the kayaks out and fished echo lake catching some trout. We also did up a bacon and egg breakfast and a hot sausage pepper meal over the open fire. We tented out in our Marmot tents and stayed out of the rain in the Nordic Legend shelter.

In this video my dad and I went back up to our old fishing grounds for the first time since I was in my early teens. We didn't catch much fish but we had a great time camping, sitting around the fire in the evenings, and cooking some great food. This is a great help as I am planning a trip to Iceland and looking for a new tent to withstand rain and wind. I am a little concerned that Marmot is selling this tent for $337. Is there a reason that they have slashed this price ?
@@Buzzy82 these tents are starting to come down in price but I haven't seen it quite that low, make sure it's the three person tent versus the two person tent cuz that will make a huge difference in price I am still using this tent and it is still in tip top shape and have had no issues at all!!! No way that's a 12 x 12. Looks like 6 x 6 unless this dude is twice the size as a normal human
@@rickmontano9424 so there's no trick photography going on it is literally a 12 by 12 according to Vevor website , however my measuring tape measures 11.6 Hub to Hub.I'm standing in front of that tent and I'm 5'6, hope this helps

Thank you for that review. It is a very good pack. A couple shortfalls to notice: if you're using it for travel, there isn't a way to lock the main chamber zippers closed. It would also be great if there was a small retainer loop to hold the long end of the chest strap in place. The whistle was a nice discovery!!

Just know that the one they sell now has a few differenses. You now have side access to the big pocket and the lid is different. And they moved the rain cover to the bottom.
Do you suggest this or the stratos 36 for family trips? I think removable top is a point for the exos......Thx
What’s the size of the entrance ?? Thinking of putting a car in. Also what winds speeds u experienced ??
64 inches door width, and I have had winds speeds up to 20 mph, now I do recommend better stakes... the ones that come with the tent are not very strong. I ended up buying ones that screw into the ground and that worked well. Hope this helps thanks for watching.😄😄😄😄

Would it fit a 25” wide pad?
Is it 12x12 at the ground or at the hubs where they bulge out?
That is a great question so I broke out the measuring tape... much to my surprise I cannot find 12 ft anywhere measured inside the tent. From Hub to Hub is 11.6 inches. Thanks again for watching, very much appreciated, hope this helps. 😄😄😄😄
The tent is great! I’d definitely recommend getting better pegs though. The small metal ones it comes with don’t do too well against wet ground. I live in MA and a good gust of wind sent it into the neighbors yard 😂 Overall a great tent though
Yeah you are right about that they're just standard tent stakes, I'm going to be doing a review on the 10th now that I've had it for a year I'm going to be sharing some thoughts on what I'd like to see upgraded, small things. Overall I love this tent it has been very durable and has taken some punishment and it's still standing I'm actually in it right now and have had it up for 2 months I live in Vermont so you know there was snow on the ground when I put it up🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 thank you so much for watching have a great summer in the tent I know you're going to love it!!!!!😄😄😄
no canvas roof = bad. theres no way that paper thin roof will last more than a season with UV rays eating it alive.
Great point so I have had several screen tents and I still have a Coleman one and you are absolutely right the sun will destroy those roofs in a matter of 1 to 2 years because of the UV rays. However on this particular tent the roof is much much thicker material than all the others that I've seen for the extra precaution what I did is I bought a $30 octagon floor print for tents and put that over the top that will save my roof. My apology for the late response so I don't remember the number of the lot but when you come in and go all the way down the first row it is the last lot on your right before the road starts turning , there is great cell phone reception there and the lot is huge, hope that helps. How's this holding up, and how many times have you set it up?
Within the next couple of weeks I will be doing a follow up on this tent, I've been getting a lot of questions along this line. A sneak peek or follow up to your question is it's still holding quite well, I have it set up in my back yard now for about 2 weeks and have set it up over 10 times for weeks at a time and it still has exceeded my expectations. The materials are extremely rugged not cheaply made. Stay tuned as I will be doing a follow up and how we set up our interior, it's been an amazing get away, I spend hours in it just chilling, reading and enjoying nature, hope this helps. Great back pack review that is one hardy back pack with a ton of room. Those straps are great and it is nice how high it will sit up and not hurt your back as badly. So we have a a little gas fireplace that we have inside the tent we have been doing this for years and have never had an issue that being said we do keep a fire extinguisher on hand and a carbon monoxide detector as well. I am going to be doing a follow-up video on this tent shortly I've been getting a lot of requests on how it holds up after a year and I'm going to go through my setup on the inside, thank you so much for watching and commenting. 😄😄😄

I just bought this tent. I had been eyeing it for awhile... I waited about a week too long as this size is no longer in stock on Vevor's Canadian site, so I ended up having to pay more to get it through Wayfair - but after watching your review, I'm really looking forward to it. I can see a number of applications for it - ranging from a nice shelter for outdoor gatherings if wind or rain happen, to a very large, comfortable tent for two or three people who don't feel like "roughing it".

Looked great until the Velcro panels.
That was a concern of mine in the beginning, fearing the wind would rip them off, and I found that even in high winds they stayed on. I am sure there could be better methods of securing the panels with snaps or zippers but I think it would jack up the price. Thanks for watch and much appreciated feedback.😄😄😄😄

I'm in Vermont and still have snow, I just set the screen tent back up and have been in it for several days just hanging out next to the heat, with the wind panels it holds The heat well and has been so awesome to get back out in it. I will be doing a follow up review on this screen tent shortly because it has surpassed my expectations and to me is worth every penny!!!! The quality is exceptional and should last for years. Can we use such as sauna
If you close the windows and vents you could probably get away with using it as a sauna. It is insulated and keeps the heat in very nicely. Good luck with your sauna adventures, God Bless!
Want to know are there the hole for diesel heater
There is not hole in the walls for a diesel heater but there is a hole in the roof for a hot stove, you might be able to get away with running your exhaust for the diesel heater through that. Hope this info helps. God Bless!

Wanted to check out your first video. Wow how far did you have to track her. I always thought you had to kill bucks? That was crazy seeing the blood up the tree. Wow that was great pics of the meat! Nice shot!
Thank you very much, only tracked her for about 25 yds. In NH you can shoot a doe with a bow through out the entire season. You can also shoot a doe during certain days of the muzzleloader and rifle season depending on what wildlife management unit you are in. I am not picky, I hunt for meat not horns. The blood on the roots of the fallen down tree was incredible. It was a nice double lung shot. Got 50lbs of meat from that harvest. Love deer hunting the meat tastes great.
