As an engineer, this seems extremely impractical, won't last 30 years and an environmental disgrace. They are building things just because they can with no practical reason.

As a cyclist I'd love to ride that, but there's no provision for anything but vehicles by the looks of it. There's not room for a vehicle to pull over if it needs to stop for any reason.
From the engineering perspective I say - well done! From the environmental perspective I have say - shame on you!
Please explain why shame
There are many huge transportation projects in China built in the virgin nature, I saw several of them myself and it was heart breaking. The impact on the environment is massive but nobody cares. The best example how to built roads and railroads in beautiful nature without hurting it can be found in Switzerland.
@@saleemkhanazad It's an ugly construction, runining the natual landscape. But at the same time amazing engineering. In my country in northern europe the society wouldnever allowed such roads being built. In China it's different, no one can protest and stop such projects
