Welcome aboard the OFFICIAL video channel for STARSHIP EXETER!
Arguably the first fan-produced Trek-themed internet phenomenon, our first episode, "The Savage Empire", premiered on December 19, 2002 and famously exceeded the Mac.Com server bandwidth capacity (as related on SlashDot). Our complete second episode, "The Tressaurian Intersection", written by ST:TNG scribe Dennis Russell Bailey ("Tin Man"), was finally released on May 1, 2014.

10th anniversary TTI Briefing Room Original
CLOSED CAPTIONED! To mark the 10th anniversary of the release of the complete "The Tressaurian Intersection" on May 1, 2014, we're sharing this never-before-seen version of the Act 3 briefing room scene as extracted (with minor tweaks) from the 2005 rough cut of the show. A pickup shoot was done, which affected the released and shorter version of the scene. Here it is in VERY rough form, mostly as originally scripted (with a few tweaks). This is how most of the show looked as originally assembled before any post-production magic was applied.
Excuse any typos in the intro.

On a mission of peace, the Starship Exeter is drawn into a battle of political intrigue and espionage. Who will survive? Can even Captain Garrovick's own crew be trusted? Shot in the 1990s and completed in late 2002 this was arguably the first "viral" Trek fanfilm, downloads of which famously overloaded the mac.com servers in that pre-CZcams era. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starship_Exeter

Searching for a starship in distress, the crew of the Starship U.S.S. Exeter finds a destroyed starbase and a deepening mystery. Has an enemy species from Captain Garrovick's past invented the ultimate weapon, or is the truth even stranger and more deadly? Shot in 2004, this film was intended to recreate the style of a 1969 TV show, right down to the lighting, rubber-suited aliens, and the look...

Who else is here in 2024 wishing they would make more!!! This is the best. It feels like looks like sounds like I'm in the '60s!
love this, so accurate to TOS, actually feels like it to the sets, acting, quality and music.
The blue dude with antennas and the woman that looks like a dude ruined it. I had very low expectations. This is fan fiction, so this level of production is nothing short of a miracle. It's almost so bad that it's good in many ways. Talk about some mixed feelings. A+ effort, F casting, C- production, C- story, B- unintentional entertainment. At any rate, i tried to turn it off but couldn't look away. I was semi convinced i had eaten mushrooms. I don't know how to say this was a disaster and also i will probably hate watch other episodes if there are any. So confusing..
Where is all this gravitation coming from. The ship is nearly destroyed but things fall down and hit the ground.
Have you SEEN Star Trek?
Looks like the captain is wearing a shirt from Walmart.
They don't sell velour, sad to say.
Ok, this is, by *far*, the best fan effort ive seen! Takes the source material, holds it in the highest regards, tells an original take with *out* insulting the franchise like far so many others do (particularly from the current owners!) Exceptionally well done!
Awesome! Love it!
The most amazing feature was the sets...they are incredible. And they must have costed a lot! Congratulations.
There was a great feel to this episode. I even loved the music as being Star Trek-like.
Wonderful and entertaining effort that is bringing me back to my teen years! Thank you.
A. To the producers and actors of this genuine love project to The Orginal Star Trek TV Series. Please keep up the great work!!!. B. The producers of the remastered Star Trek could use your editing work on the remastered episodes of the original Star Trek series. C. You can teach the producers of the remastered Star Trek to not ruin the story by having a lot of cheesy special effects that doesn't do anything but take away from the story. D. Your editing process enhanced the story you were telling. Great Job!!! E. To the editor of this video. You get a 21 torpedo salute from me.
This is a fan production, it's not the slick polished Star Trek we've come to expect, but it is closer in spirit to that Original Series that started it all than many of its later descendants. Well done and thank you for getting it out there.
A. Pease don't downplay your genuine efforts. B. A great episode of Star Trek is more the the special effects. C. For Star Trek it's the great story telling and messages that appeals to humanity's greater good. D. To all the actors and producers of this genuine love to The Original Star Trek TV Series. Please keep up the great work!!!
❤ 🖖!!! Well done . Great fun tx !
Kudos for maintaing the OG style to use in that time period!! Loved it !!! Good story as well . Good job guys!!! I wish the science blonde were vulcan but thats all . Great job
Pretty good story. I like the sets and special effects. Overall pretty good for a fan film. Good job
The Doctor seems like he doesn't want to be there
Doctor McCoy also seems that he doesn't want to be there, so it is precise.
Doc Azato hates being on away from his sickbay machine that goes "PING!"
Not for me. Out!
I haven't seen this in years and I can still name the characters like B'fuselek and Vandi Richards. That's what I'd call effective world-building. Bravo.
This was not filmed in 2004,was in the end of 60s
Shhh. You weren't supposed to tell.
All the uniforms on that vessel are pretty ratty looking. The captain doesn't even have an insignia on his.
Look at his belt. Same place Kirk's was on his green wraparpound.
So where is this in the time line? Before or after Captain Ron Tracey , and the registration is NCC 1672, ....? Or is it just another fan based story
After Ron Tracy. Hence the lizard's line about the unwanted starship haunted by a dead crew. Read the pinned post for more.
Just a 10 minutes in, but I must say... I feel like I'm watching the original, well done❤
I agree!!!
Bravo guys. Aloha.
A little late in posting this excellent video
Please remember late is better then never. Thankyou!!! For posting this genuine Love Project To The Original Star Trek TV Series. Please keep up the great work!!!
Loved it. Great job, you guys. I think that was my second time in the last maybe five years or so.
“Untouched by the eyes of man” 😅😅😅 Very good effort this; I just found that phrase funny.
2.4 MILLION VIEWS! 400K new views in a year a decade after release ... color us shocked!
Well done production and very entertaining. Too bad about the red shirt.
@@rtqii I should see that coming!
And too think that I almost paid these guys $3,000 for their Ship Model & Costumes on E-Bay.
Think of it as a Fanfilm Starter Kit. Batteries and Tressaurians not included.
Wonderful 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I'm impressed. I liked it. Thanks so much. Great job all around. Appreciate the effort
You're welcome.
They did a good job of paying homage to the original series.
Only kind, happy, thoughtful, and true fans of the original will appreciate the effort and outcome of this video. Kudos to all involved for creating such a wonderful piece.
wow...as me as a Fan of the TOS from the begining..this episode is great...thrill, athmosphere, actors, cameraview...story...a perfect one...congratulations...you did a great job...thank you for sharing
They tried....
And DID this was great
Seriously? People hate this. That is just... Well, hate? I love yall, your hard work and artistry. Star Trek... Love it too. Standing O from the Airstream.
And they still haven't installed seatbelts on starships
They don't need seatbelts as much as they do camera stabilizers. All the scenes on the original series was from shaking and tilting the camera.
If they had seatbelts they couldn't fall out of their chairs.
I need a Bean Burrito....
Do Andorians get Free Wifi??
This is truly spectacular on every front and the first video in the series I've watched. Now to find the other one and mourn there won't be any more. 🌠
And still is getting views in 2024!❤
If anything the view rate has increased the past few years.
Starship Exeter does one thing simply and well. Tell a great story.
wonderful work you all did. the script to me was great. a shot of the captain in the elevator with Cutty shows Cutty looking away from the Captain. that should be with Cutty looking towards the Captain. Other than that I only see it as a non paying gig for actors of the guild or out of the guild doing what they love and on a project they loved to do. I felt sad about the young ensign that died as she was an ideal of Starfleet.
Really really bad copy ,,bad
Thanks for giving it a look. Sorry it wasn't to your liking.
@@TheStarshipExeterso you know wo , I and so many others here loved it.
I had no idea. Great Star Trek!
Contrary to the request of "TheStarshipExeter", I won't cut the actors any slack. That's because they don't need any. Good job all around!
Good comments. Thanks for a good movie.
Jesus, the sets, photography, production value, don't know who you guys are but you should be very proud, excellent job!
Wow, admittedly college level acting but damn good nonetheless! Thoroughly enjoyable!
Great Sets, Bad acting... Really Bad.....
This has the look and feel of the original Star Trek of the 1960s. The plot flowed nicely and did not feel choppy or disjointed. It also had the realistic star trek theme of victory through sacrifice as seen in the TOS episodes. Nicely done. One can only imagine what kind of movie would be made if you had a bigger budget and the resources needed. One can only speculate.
