I fly a Hughes 300, barely I make that many inputs in the Cyclic, this helicopter you’re flying here is nightmare, I got dizzy jut looking at the amount of cyclic inputs you’re putting here ! WOW
every type of helicopter is different. the rotorway requires more cyclic deflection as you slow down particularly as you approach etl and below. hover out of ground effect requires the most. this is similar to airplanes where you need greater inputs as your airspeed is lower and they need the more deflection at taxi speeds or below.
Do you have any other shots of this scene? It's remarkable
I do. this departure was executed with permission and there were no less than 12 teachers and volunteers who we brief prior to departure.
@@davidchow9528 Oh that's a heavy measure I guess. Was it difficult to get that permission in any way? Did you encounter any investigative calls from the FAA or anything like that? Did you get engaged with local authorities in any way? Or was it considered just like a normal, everyday parking and departure of a Lamborghini (which I wish)?
@@ilhamelhajji5214 No calls. everything was legal.
Keep em coming, David.
David, great stuff. What altitudes are you operating at? Interested in the power available during high DA conditions.
I was at 3000 through this pass. DA is always an issue even with the most capable aircraft. Doing the numbers and doing power checks is a must. No problem in cruise in this 162f. if you can hover you can fly.
great view
Is that by the RotorX building

@@davidchow9528 gotcha buddy. I know you won’t be able to come out to John’s gathering. Are you coming to Jim’s gathering later in October this year?
@@josephpriolo1514 I really hope so. New job has me so busy. There was a 90 day gap in my helo flying. I have to make time flying and making these events. I'm stretched between work and family commitments. Jim's is on my calendar

Beautiful, it's like playing Flight Simulator in real life!!!
Hi.. What camera is this ??
Gopro Max
Use 360, touch screen and move it around. You can see he is pointing at something but I was unable to see anything out in he distance. But neat being able to look around cabin and view!
I looked around in 360, no radio chatter and no other aircraft visible. Still don't know why you posted this.🤔
rotate the image
launch in youtube app for 360 otherwise it doesn't look right
Why did you post this video? It shows nothing to do with another plane, just your face and what looks like your wing. You do not even look in the direction of the video and there is no radio communication of sound of another airplane.
its a 360 degree video, you can turn the camera, he points towards the plane
Hahaha Do you even pan bro?
lol move the screen
Ok, but let me know if you can see the other plane on this video, from your cell phone. Maybe it's my device.
Nice door
ha!
Gives "hangin' it on the motor" graphic representation.
Ooow yeah 👍👍👍 outstanding 😊😊
wow,it is so cool!
Awesome!
polishing up that mandarin. AZ sunsets are awesome
hahaha
I see you flew from a school, I wiuld like to do that one day with my remaining child but we know life rarely works that way. Good luck enjoy, I did see a piece on mojogrip a few years ago you honored your father's legacy you should be proud. Shame the companiy is having all these troubles with current ownership, I hope it ends up as some non profit organization so more may have chance at this form of aviation.
Hmm, watched a max performance take off with low altitude 180 degree banking turn of a CH-53. I guess that was kinda what i was looking for here.
How about this one czcams.com/video/94GutuB0ZtQ/video.html
and this one czcams.com/video/EAY_3X9MmtM/video.htmlsi=YxOAd7zNtSDkKo8B&t=163
And the approach with 360 video czcams.com/video/Iu4n2nmzC88/video.html
*Promo sm* 🤘
Mind the gap! 😂
I don't think that was a short final I just realized it wasn't it was just an advertisement for the cam
there is no official icao definition for short final but it's generally considered to be within half or a mile before crossing threshold. www.pilotsofamerica.com/community/threads/how-far-out-is-short-final.102114/
Those are some tall trees.
georgia!
Great Job!
Nice Video😀. Do you know if Rotorx still work?
Tight LZ!
Lol kids in the back passed out
Zoe is asleep by 2 minutes in? Or is she like me, frozen in fear? 😅
high altitude and a big lunch makes you sleepy :)
Wait 5 passengers! 😂
Well max performace sucks ass, if thats max
the other dogs wont believe him😂😂
Great job!
This back at your pace in GA? I thought you were in PHNX now.
this was 2021
@@davidchow9528 after the tragedy at OshKosh with Mike, do you know of any other Rotorway/Rotor-X instructors around mid south, southeast since we no longer have Mike? Thanks
I'm happy to see that you and the heli made it to the SW safely! It was great to meet you in Grant Park, Atlanta.
It was great chatting with you. If you're ever in Phoenix look me up and we'll go for a flight.
That was cool!
First. Nice video
Pretty cool man!!
Should have a camera facing out so you can see what you guys are seeing. We're just seeing you
you can. watch this video in the youtube app and you can look all the way around and even up and down.
Nice video. Do you have instagram?
Yes I do @foursevens47
COOL
This video is excellent and the panoramic video from all angles in full vertical & horizontal view is spectacular. This a monumental effort to capture the thrill of flying a helicopter. Thank you for your efforts ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love it, man! If you're around ATL the second weekend of May (11-14) you need to come see me at work. 1. It would be awesome to see you again. 2. It's our biggest shindig of the year - four days of glorious, bikey mayhem.
Omg thanks for the 360 cam, it took me a minute to realize what my phone was doing, very immersive!
Looks awesome David!
