My humble attempt at building my version of the digital world one step at a time by creating programming and computer science content to help those coming behind me.
I've tracked my coding journey since 2016 by documenting my experiences as a (now-former) computer science student & (now-former) software engineer, all in an attempt to help others coming behind me. I believe there's a lot of value in seeing how someone else has done something, so I try to teach everything I learn in this programming and computer science space as I learn it. Now, I do CZcams full-time and am able to focus on hobby projects. Really, I'm just here to have fun with code lol. Enjoy!

I Built a 3D Developer Portfolio Website // Three.js + React + Tailwind
Host your website with Hostinger (use code FORREST): hostinger.com/forrestknight
I built myself a 3D developer portfolio website to replace my minimal portfolio and compliment my GitHub profile page and terminal website. This is a custom website I've been wanting to build for a while, that has the "wow" factor of my terminal website thanks to three.js 3D graphics, interactive animations, and parallax, while maintaining an easy-to-use and intuitive design. This website gives a prospective client or employer a quick look at me and my work as a developer, showing them what I can do with not just the projects listed, but the website itself. And yes, I know the parallax gets tricky when shrinking the window, but I'll fix that... one day... maybe. Maybe one of y'all can fix it for me.
If you're reading this part, let me know what you think of this new video style I'm trying out, and comment "SPACEMAN!!!" below.
Technologies:
Vite - Build tool for the boilerplate and structure
JavaScript - Programming language
React - JavaScript library for building user interfaces
Tailwind - CSS framework
Three.js - Animated 3D graphics
Framer Motion - Interactive animations
Hostinger - Web hosting platform
GitHub - Version control & CI/CD

3 Types of Algorithms Every Programmer Needs to Know

It's my thought that every programmer should know these 3 types of algorithms. We actually go over 9 algorithms, what they are, how they work, real-world use cases, complete with code examples and explanations, but they fall under 3 categories, 3 types of algorithms you should know. Sorting Algorithms - used to rearrange elements in a list or an array in a certain order. We discuss bubble sort,...

amazing video man, learned a lot
Content starts from 4:51
did not know what he looked like. wow when he was young he looked like the nerdy love interest from a romance movie who ends up getting the girl.
Thank you very much for the video! I would like to program games. I live in Germany. Does anyone have any tips on which software language I should start with? Any tips on how to make it into the industry? Or what online tools, schools etc. are available? Just love & thanks in advance for any answers. <3
Hi thanks for this video I've learnt a lot in just10mins. Subscribed already!!
I teach a personal development programming class at a local university (not towards a degree) and I always refer people to your CZcams. The new site looks awesome. Great stuff, man!
This guy is like my data Jesus
Another great video, But you do get paid a LOT more in USA than in the UK. Starting junior salary in UK for any type is about 21k Sterling, equates to about 26k USD. This is why the UK has such a huge deficit in Programmer's..........
This looks great. We need a tutorial please🙏
There is a lot of common sense and wisdom in your movie. You motivate, but make you realise how much work needs to be done. Thank you.
What icon theam you r using
please bring more of these types of real world projects
You could have done this without 3d model, with just svgs as it doesn't incorporate any 3d effect and it would have improved performance.
I'd love to get the tutorial. KEEP IT UP!!!
Thanks for this video. I just discovered Sketchfab.
Do you still using dual-boot Arch right now, or completely move into Windows+WSL2? Could you please make a new video about your experiences after a while, like in 2024, would you still recommend native Linux or WSL2 is just a better replacement?
Please 🥺🥺🥺 do it
Cool video!!
Kamu lucu, cara memberikan penjelasan sangat menyenangkan😂🎉
We want the tutorial !
2k for now
This is amazing. You are amazing. Very inspiring and motivating, as well.
How did he pin the function name at the top while scrolling? at 7:42? Cool video btw
Bro scratching for views 😂😂
Make a tutorial on easiest way to create parallax effect, it will be great to introduce us with a new js library also which make this stuff lots more easier...
No matter how many tutorials I watched, what helped me learn was making a small bullet hell game on a game engine (game maker for me)and when I got stuck I either watched videos or asked copilot :) ai is the future so use it to your advantage.
the tutorial will generate more views than you expected
We want the tutorial please
Great Video, I hope a tutorial soon !
New style goes hard
love the new style
Spaceman, but where is the website ?

nice!!! very cool
Urgh, dragging my eyes on this.. fine here's your 50k views 👀x50k
WoW, your video's are always good, but this one is another level
I applied to 100's of remote positions, never heard back. I switched up and started going to job fairs locally and applied to mainly local companies. That got me my first offer lol. Software Engineer Intern. First role out of Full-Stack Bootcamp. Don't give up people. Stay the course. You are worthy!
Make the tutorial for this man. It's really cool and inspiring.
Great Video!
Make the tutorial please 🙏
Points well taken. I have become disgusted by the meanness that is polluting the entire stack exchange community.
Apropo - for all u beginner-intermediates reading this - go learn a mid level language like go where at least a large part of the magic languages like JS do is abstracted or you will regret it later when u go to ur mid/senior level job int and have to do algos. Youll thank me in spade beleive me!
This is great content! The problem with modern development - in particularly JS and Python is that they are abstracted from the actual algos that happen underneath them ie ur eg with sort. I started with Java 22 years ago - left it for 15 years and when I came back to programming and started learnign JS it confused the f*** out of me cause I couldnt see the magic happening under the hood - like where are these things happening? Am i missing something? i think every programmer should start with somethin like Go or some other mid teir language and learn these fundamentals - but its hard to make people how much they will regret not learning them until they are mid-adv level and they ahve no choice to...meh
I'd observe that this sort o toxic snark has tainted the math subforum as well.
