I own a '72 914 that I bought with less than 18K miles (it has 22K now), and it's a delightful car to drive. I love it more than I ever thought I would.

The 944 S2 was one of the most beautiful affordable super cars of modern times. I drove a red coloured S2 like the one in this video across France and Spain in the 1990s. Very comfortable, very reliable, very easy to drive - I was able to drive it carefully up a dirt track in the Pyrenees with no problems - and also very fast. If I remember correctly, its power steering was programmed to disengage after 25 miles.

I do like them but I'd have to see if I can fit my 6ft 4in body into one...

331ci. 180hp from the factory. Four Stromberg 97s at around 160cfm each and a massive nightmare to balance & tune. It's a cool retro build, but that's a craptonne of money to make *maybe* 300hp, tops. Why there's a Dana 70 in there and not a Dana 60 is beyond my comprehension. The 70's axles can take over 8000ft.lbs of torque and the assembly has a gross axle weight rating of 7500lbs. It's like you're intentionally trying to kill the underwhelming power the engine makes. It's a decent looking rat rod .. but man, the math doesn't freaking work.

I have a 331 fire ram industrial hemi but they have an expended bell housing. Was told it was a boat anchor but I don't have the heart to scrap it yet. Out of a Pettibone it ran well, amish swamped it out for a newer BB Chrysler.
