Imo (owner) its the most nimble 17 inch touring bike ever. That is why the lower steering wheel. I test rode s1000xr and this on the same day. Incomparable this more nimble by far.

All cars now a days have a key fob as well no one complains about that- but motorcyclists always complain about everything seems like- the vibrations the the key the wheels cruise control the brakes just on and on of non stop complaining

You are comparing appels to oranges; 1000+ CC BMW vs 900 Triumph and 800cc Ducatie? Ducatie has a 1100cc Scrambler and Triumph has a 1200cc too. Why not taking these?

I've driven the St Gotthard Pass and San Bernardino Pass, as I have family in the area, but will have to get back to travel this road - might make it mid summer though.

I think it's worth it. I got my 2018 SDR for $7,500 with salvage title. Sure it's got a few blemishes, but that doesn't hinder the performance.
