It's tougher in Alaska, I used to go up hills like that with a piped out zrt800 with a studded track, if the going up wasn't scary enough that coming down was a mother fucker with the wind blown snow, summit lake is way less dangerous, cept for the avalanche, glaciers, bears,wolves, but hey no guts no glory.👍😂☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️

Tylerb, I’m curious, what would you change? Rolling up a C1 can be very shoulder intensive. I assume you paddle a C1 and you have your own particular technique.
By keeping your torso lower to the surface of the water throughout the roll and then raising your head up by sweeping it low either forwards or backwards, you can reduce the strain on your shoulders considerably. I do this by keeping my shaft hand on my forehead, using that point as the fulcrum for the lever action.
