Picking Up New Chicks from the Post Office!
Chicken day on the homestead! First I find a nest of chickens eggs from chickens that have not been laying in the coop. Secondly, I head down to our local post office to pick up 19 chicks that we ordered from Murray McMurray Hatchery.

I really like to see you cooking gourmet meals with gourmet mushrooms. You're also teaching us different ways to eat mushrooms. I think that is an important aspect of mushrooms and their health benefits. Your dishes look delicious and phenomenal.

Thanks Don! I hope you can persuade Karen into getting a few chickens. They aren't that much work and they provide a lot of entertainment and plenty of fresh eggs! Not sure what Bodhi would think of them though! 😅

Hi Katie! So good to see what you have been up to! Congrats on your new chicks. Great idea for the brooder. We saved a dog kennel for the same purpose. Yep, it stores perfectly and doesnt take up space. Glad to see you found all those eggs. Your Rhoderdendron is beautiful. Hope you have a great week!
Yeah the dog crate works great for a brooder, especially for being able to store it later on. I love that huge Rhodie! I wish I knew the age of it...but it's gotta be at least 50-60 years old! As always, thanks for watching!!

I'll tell ya one thing Don, keeping bees tends to be addictive...so if you ever end up getting into it, be ready for another full time hobby! But, it is a lot of fun and they are just so fascinating. I appreciate you watching as always!

Lot of deer held late this year in my area was mild winter
Yup, noticed the same thing here, definitely had a lot to do with the mild winter. Hoping to pick up a few more before things really green up.

That is a beautiful looking shed Katie, congrats ! Good mass, no teeth marks and gorgeous color, it’s all good. My shed hunting season has already pretty much come to a close , it’s kayak fishing time for me but Karen and Bodhi are still hitting the hills. Always good when you find those rubs cuz at least you know a buck has been in that area at some point in time. I was working in the yard this afternoon and two Toms were just a gobbling back and forth. That season is right around the corner too. Have a great rest of your weekend. ✌️

The attorney’s office that oversees my mom’s estate insisted that we get this done and over with.😢 So, it’s now going to be listed.
