i learned all I know from Manchester's instructional videoS
im heading to san fransisco in october and we are going to sonoma. we are renting karts. i race karts my self but i live in north carolina
That was fun to watch!
Whatever you were doing at some of those starts gave you over acceleration
Good racing man but I just have one question, why don't you run a smaller gear? I mean you could get way more speed on that main straight!
hey man i live right by here and I've been there before. i would love to race its my dream just struggling to find a go kart im 14 my name is sebastian
hey Sebastian, shoot me an email at kenny@kpxracing.com and let's get you going
thank you so much man i will
Hey man i sent you an email i sent "kenny@kpxracing" an email from my gmail.
That's a funny sounding rev limiter hahaha.
You got beat by a girl who does not play nice. After that move of her at 2:30 I would have spun her out.
out of curiosity, what tires and max rear width do you guys run? Or is there a place I could look at the rulebook you use? TIA!!!
we were running Bridgestone ylc at this race. we now run mg red. max rear width is 55in. in this 2015 birel art am29 I ran my rear width around 50in.
Awesome! Thanks so much! I'm running a Birel AM29 as well.. We run a different tire (MG Red) and 55in max rear. Great racing!! Was super interesting to see the different gearing strategies!
Mg reds are really similar. Let me know if you need any other help with the chassis. I got a year of seat time with the am29
Thanks man! Good luck this year! Was thinking about traveling, would love to do some race in the US!
come on out for a KPX race here in California. big races with crazy competition
Thanks Kenny I appreciate the help! I bought a second or third hand Birel for a really good price 2009 r31 that I'm going to play with initially. Al in without new tires and changes to the Birel, I should have less than $1,500 for the initial setup. I'm hoping to encourage more old racers like me and new racers to get back in the sport. Right now, in the local races,, the LO206 is so far the biggest class and I hope that continues. I'd love to race out there, I hear you guys have a track every 10-miles!
Hahaha maybe every 30 miles. try setting the front at 47 and 3/4in. and rear about 52in. medium axle with seat struts and see how that plays out.
Excellent job. Very nice race to view. You guys really race well together. Cheers!
I did some rubbing with her at some other races. she is a good racer, yet no peripheral vision.... I am not so nice anymore with most that drive this way.. thanks for the comment!
frustrating to watch...you almost had to stuff 17. I like his driving but the two pass attempts, he did move left. In the south, we let that happen once, the second time it would be a love tap at the apex...
Hell of a drive!
Can you recommend any chassis that work well with the clone engines? Thanks for any info...

great video! i pushed the thumbs up! how much horsepower do these clone race engines produce?
These look like BSP (Box Stock Project) or BP (Builder Prepared) clones. BSP clones have about 10 hp and BP can have about 11hp. We ran a SA (Stock Appearing) GX200 clone that would keep up with KT100’s, so it had about 18hp. It had a stock bore & stroke, flat top Honda piston w/low tension oil ring, 1.75lb flywheel, radically shaved and ported head, Southern Express thick flange ceramic header, Factory Keihin GX390 carb (rejetted), Black Mamba cam, Stainless valves w/split keepers, aluminum spring retainers and 28# valve springs. It would pull the KT’s coming out of the corners…
Thank you. I used photoshop elements 11.
great video! what program did you use to edit this?
