Thanks for this! Just got my Allstate back after ten years. Been probably 20 since I last rebuilt a carb. This is pretty much a perfect video interpretation of the hanes manual. Gonna come in handy. Appreciate it!

Hey! Nice series... Question: I have a really old vespa carb looks like this one right there... How can I find out the year model for my bike?
Find the VIN Number. You can find it on the frame of the scooter or generally on the swing arm of the motor. Then look here www.scooterwest.com/discover-learn/scooter-lookup/

Brilliant my friend.
I could not figure this two way threaded nut! Thanks very much and shame you're not doing these any more as you have a wonderful style.
Thanks man. I inherited a 1980 P200e that my father-in-law was "rebuilding". He passed and I have it now. I have been reassembling it and documenting the process on my own channel. Anyways, I'm to the point where I need to mount the rear shock and engine. Thanks again.

Liberally spray the shit out of it
Apart from the awful jazz in the background not a bad video. Isn't it usual to adjust tickover speed and mixture though before riding off into the sunset?
Jeff, why is my Vespa having starting probs? Plug is fine but it takes me a fair time to get the engine to fire up. When I do get it going I get a fair amount of smoke and it runs a bit spluttery until it warms up. I am thinking the starter jet and float pin and bowl a good place to start? Discuss.
Superb video. Well presented and very informative.
Great tutorial, followed religiously, but still can't start my Vespa :(
Love the Bebop music.
Is there a torque setting for the drain plug ? I tend to be heavy handed and am always worried about stripping the thead .Just being over cautious ? Great video.
Jeff, thanks so much for this Vespa carb rebuild series! I'm going to give this a go in the next couple weeks on my P200e.
