Hi Sandy, great question, I don't but I know these batteries last a very very long time and retain their charge even after many years of no use. I would be interested in knowing where to get replacements too, I would imagine Cobra authorized dealers could be helpful for your search.

I have used this while beach camping in very hot conditions (both dry and humid) and it works perfectly for absorbing any residual sweat at night from temperature changes - so it helps counter any stickiness. I actually have two of them now, and year after year they retain their new conditions (obviously I take good care of them and wash them often). You can't go wrong with this product (unless you are too big and it doesn't fit).

Very happy with it, didn't take it to Asia as I was packing light and most hotel sheets do the job (this is more for camping or when you have no sheet.

agreed.. now I own two of these and love them, I use them in the summer when not using a sleeping bag, they are a bit narrowish but for me a great product that I'll continue to use.

some thoughts on your comments: Can't remember price. Use a liner for comfort like you would a sheet under a blanket (not say to protect bag but serves that purpose too if you are dirty/sweaty. Also, reason to use it on its own without a bag in warm climates such as during the summer when temps fall at night (i have even used it to cover myself or lay on without actually getting into it- by draping it over or under me. Finally, I've used it with a Bivvy together of which makes it a mock sleeping bag (survival Bivvy+Liner = mock bag).Hope that helps.

dizkoteck normally trails lead to campsites and are safer than being outside of a trail potentially where if something happens help might be far and no one to hear you. I wouldn't go off-trail if you are a beginner hiker/navigator/camper/survivalist and especially if others don't know your whereabouts - as you can also get lost off-trail. Otherwise, its good to research the local regulations as some parks don't allow it, but otherwise if you are well prepared and don't veer too far off trail than you might find a nice quiet place to really feel in the wild.

Shelly Wingard what is it with you close-minded juice heads that can't fathom the idea that maybe there is some logic beyond your small brains in a workout like this where you do a PARTIAL REP (not a full rep) using more weight than you could normally lift in a FULL REP. correct, I had not traveled there before. Yes there were pharmacies everywhere - but I like being prepared on my own in advance and the medical kit I had packed took virtually no weight/space. The foot gear I brought were perfect and I did alot of walking and was very happy with the choice (it was the New Balance Minimus shoes - they are very lightweight) and also did running with them in Bangkok. I did go on a safari with those clothes you mentioned, you can see the jungle trekking videos I posted from Khao Yai National Park trekking that I did. The boots worked perfectly in the jungle there, and I didnt even need leech socks. So I am very pleased with how I packed, and don't think I took anything unnecessary as I only had the carry on and stayed for a month.

unless you tried to pull the fish out yourself, you have no way to know how the fish was positions and the internal space of the rock formation and whether the fish was holding onto it or not, etc.. We catch fish like this all the time, and the only challenge with retrieving this is it was narrow and the fish was wedge. Damaging the eyes isn't a good idea as it makes the fish look less fresh if not consumed in the first few days, in case you gift it or sell it. But thanks for the tip, in case a grouper wont come out maybe the eye poke is a last resort. Also we had hooks and extra shafts, this fish came out easy we just had to dive a few times. It took around 15 minutes or so total.

Yes from what I am aware, the other more rare lobster is Shovelnose Lobster, Scyllarides latus, also known in crete as KoloXtipa or Ass-Hitter.

I carry it all the time in all seasons except winter. In winter I boil water anyway and then filter, and add aquamira drops, so I use a different system for winter. I agree with you though that you could hold inside clothing but it would be a liability because IF it froze (like if you took off your jacket for a while, etc..) than it would be damaged from what I understand. It is still by far one of the best filters on the market, in my opinion.

Sometimes they say that a dull knife is more dangerous than a sharper one because it requires more effort to exert, therefore, I think equally applicable is the analogy that a broken safety could give the false impression of a locked knife that is actually not lockable (or in your case openable), My only idea would be to unscrew and open the casing and then find what the error is, I think its probably dirt caught in the locking mechanism, or rust from seawater, or an actual defect? best to contact manufacturer perhaps..

Hey thanks for the clarification, thats good to know its 420hc stainless and not 750..I agree Olive oil isn't the best, but I prefer it over other mineral or synthetic oils, for knives I use everyday. For longer term storage I would use a mineral oil. Thanks for the comments!

Akim Ladhari I agree. And we ALWAYS have hook and shafts with us, but we only use that when the spear is stuck in the rock or not coming out, that wasn't needed here, this just needed patience and shooting the fish a second time and maneuvering it around.

You are right...I think I did all these reviews on the fly...back to back and hadnt' thought to remove..to show. Thanks for the feedback. In case anyone is wondering, the fabric is super super comfy and especially in hot summer conditions to wick sweat.. if that helps with any consideration.
