Love him as Möbius and as Jean Giraud.. The style was so diffent from each other. Möbius did the lovely pastel colours of space heroes on flying creatures or some cool anti grav bike fkying around fighting bad guys and meeting half naked space bimbos.. Whats not to like.? But we mustn't forget the great western tales if Lt. Blueberry with freat scenery taken right out of a 60s western. Those adventures was the comics version of the Spaghetti westerns. Nithing5bwtter than to get 10 kroner to buy sweets for and get some Blueberry and John Difool albums from the library and just disappear for the day... From 1977 and the next 10 years that was the go to fave time when tou could be left alone with some new Möbius albums.. 😊

the face on the cover of the first edition of Metal Hurlant (1974) 17:10 bears a marked resemblance to the sarcophagus face of The Fifth Element 3:48 I think. le visage sur la couverture du premier édition de Metal Hurlant (1974) 17:10 rassamble fortement le visage du sarcophage en The Fifth Element (1997) 3:48. je crois.

The very last drawing they show is meaningful, you see Giraud flying saying "I feel like a superhuman" "I want it to never stop" and I feel that summarize very well Giraud with his overgrown super ego when it comes to drawing but also I think this is exactly what happens in the head of many graphics artists, especially when they were drawing during their teenage years and their minds were blooming.

You have to understand that Jodo's entire work and vision was shut down by the American entertainement business only to be stolen ,used and packaged in mass market cultural products which only purpose is to sell chinese made licensed merchandise to kids. They all more or less tip toe around the subject but you can tell that even O'Bannon is still disgusted about it even when he talks about Ridley Scott...Moebius is the most "stoic" and matter of fact about it as he most likely never was as naive as the others, but its clear this is something that really impacted their lives.

Mexico is a huge country! Deserts prevail only in the north west of the country. Yes those that border Arizona and a little bit of California. i.e. Sonora and Baja California. The desert he describes can only be from there. That is why I am courious to know "where" in Mexico did he lived? I checked on his Wikipedia biography but it only says "Mexico". Anyone?

Stan Lee offers no insight and is mostly talking about himself; if you know what to listen for, he exposes himself as the huckster he was all his life. What a shame Moebius and Jack Kirby never met. Everything positive Moebius says about Lee should really be about Kirby. Every philosophical and thoughtful idea or interest attributed to Lee was appropriated from Kirby during the Fantastic Four/Thor years. The Silver Surfer was ruined and turned into a boring mope because of Lee. Jodorowsky's assessment of Lee as a businessman and his disdain for America and superheroes needs to be heeded.
