Took a bike ride around New Providence, Berkeley Heights, and Summit New Jersey yesterday and had my GoPro running the whole time. Went down to Seaside Heights earlier today while the storm swept through (Saturday, March 23rd, 2024.) Heavy rain and high winds blowing off the ocean - needless to say there weren't many people walking the boardwalk today.

Took a walk on the Seaside boardwalk and beach earlier today (March 21, 2024) and couldn't help noticing how far out the ocean was as it was at low tide. A few areas of the beach had sandbars exposed, and I was able to walk on the beach behind Casino Pier.

I took a walk last night in Summit, NJ, climbing to the top of the downtown parking garage along the way. While up there, a brief snow/sleet squall hit. How fun!

It was raining a little too hard to be a pleasant drive for me, but it looks nice on video I guess lol. Here's some video I took down in Wildwood, NJ in early December. Like the title says, it's just 18 minutes of walking on the Wildwood boardwalk and beach in the off-season. The temps were in the 40s the day I went, but really windy; seems to be like that every time I go down there in the off-season. Saw like four others walking the boardwalk, and a few people doing work on the piers, but really...

Here's a video I took in mid-January, driving from the southern end of LBI to the northern end; from Holgate to Barnegat Light - just over 18 miles. Here's a video I took in early December, driving through Wildwood Crest, Wildwood, and North Wildwood. As you can see it gets pretty quiet down there in the off-season, but not as deserted as some locales like Avalon or Sea Isle City. Today and yesterday were very smokey around here thanks to the wildfires up in Canada. Today in particular, June 7th, was very bad around noon to 4pm or so with everything turning a strange orange color as the sun filtered through the thick smog. I mean, it looked like we were on Venus or something. I could see sunspots without using a solar filter at the height of it.
