Kev Mac it’s Pennard just after kittle, bit of a mission to get launched from here but well worth it. You can head from 3 cliffs bay and head left from the coastline. 👍🏼

Collin Hanlin it’s a person haha 👌🏼there are auto belay machines that can slow you down/stop you, but mostly it’s a person at the other end with a belay device who can lock the rope off. 👍🏼

FoxyGrampaLol where was the 3 story wall? You should enjoy Excalibur it was well windy when we went out. Still an awesome experience though.

You get snagged about 10 feet down then get lowered by your belayer

+DroningClimber so r u kinda free falling until you are 10 feet from the ground or is it you free fall for 10 feet and be how ever many feet from the ground say 50 feet up u fall and then at 40 feet u are caught and Lowered down. I am sorry if u get confused by this question I didn't know of another way to ask

+Sniper Monke you fall 10 feet, not 10 feet from the ground.

Well you fall below your last piece by an amount equal to how much you were above that piece plus how much the entire length of rope that is out will stretch (usually around 20-30%). So basically the higher you go the bigger but softer falls you take for the same distance above your last clip. Even when close to the ground though, the falls are still very soft.

Thanks the top was very windy and one amazing view haha😲

This was one Tuesday last February in 2014, I travelled an hour to find it was perfect conditions and only 3 of us on pen y fan. Went back on the Thursday after with friends and to my disappointment it had all gone apart from a few patches on top, still made for good sledging laughs tho.. Goodluck on your quest :-)

That specific route is 4c

It was the centres rope and it was 80 metre rope.

Sorry for delay in response, it was in march and freezing bitterly windy, I was a complete novice with a few months experience and it was the easiest route. Very cool tho was awesome fun
