Kamikaze tactics really weren’t that effective
Debatable, same as like in Blitzkrieg. Tactic itself was very good when it was introduced early, however with time going on the Kamikaze attacks required more and more planes, something Japanese industry couldn't manage to do.
@@Kratos_Poland_real I don’t think Kamikaze was a systematic tactic. It was more often something pilots to do when they knew they weren’t going to be able to make it home, due to damage or unexpected fuel consumption.
@@andromededp5316 There were planes designated to such roles which were made out of volunteers, they could and probably were reports of singular pilots crashing into ships, however that wasn't the reason why it was popularized. Kamikaze was so popular and effective where Japanese even went on to make Kamikaze Torpedo.

It is SOOO strange to think now that the Battle of New Orleans is an Extension of the Napoleonic Wars. Us Americans got rekt on the waters, but our attacks on the other two theatres were of relative success. Tecumseh did not see that one coming. Too bad.

The Treaty of Ghent, in what is today Belgium, had already been signed between the U.S.A. and Great Britain, ending the War of 1812, on December 24, 1814. The Battle of New Orleans took place on January 8, 1815. Even though the War of 1812 was already over, in the early 19th Century it was impossible to have spread the news about the war being over in time, to have prevented the Battle of New Orleans from happening. But, if the world of 200 ago years had the many 21st Century communication technologies that we take for granted today, the Battle of New Orleans would never have happened. Just imagine Andrew Jackson smashing his laptop computer and throwing his cellphone in a fit of rage at not being able to get revenge on the British for happened to him during his youth! This would make a great skit for Saturday Night Live.
