Excellent Thought. அரியும் சிவனும் ஒண்ணு. அறியாதவன் வாயில மண்ணு. Thiagaraja has expressed this thought soaked in Bhakthi & saranagathi in these two Krithis. Is there a trace of Karaharapriya in Devaamirdhavarshini while singing the high octaves ( விவரமு தெலிஸின கனுலகு). Pl clarify. These two krithis were made popular by Dr. S. Absolutely delightful episode!! I totally agree that performing concerts in settings like rural areas can be very challenging but you seem to have managed brilliantly. I was also very moved by the respectful attention you got from the audience at Latvia who knew nothing about carnatic music. In contrast the so called knowledgeable rasikas back in India don't always show such respect to the performers. Looking forward to your next episode.
