Dang. What did the noise sound like?
Thank you so much my pump kept turn on and turn off and back on replace the switch and took care of the issue. Appreciate the tip 😎
Dude, please delete this video. This is so badly incorrect.
@@ProleDaddy been changing my brakes this way since 1999 and never had a problem
please make an updated video after a couple hundred miles of driving! it would be cool to see the effectiveness of this.
@@hayatodoki7050 I will most definitely . And I will also explain how I made it so other people can make their own.
Nice. I've always wondered what it looked like inside of mine.
Lol
Will it cause air to get in the line?
Awesome video !
I have a pump that runs for about 30 then overheats and shuts off .I
Use brake fluid only, not grease.
😂 Wow thanks. Now WHAT IS a CV Shaft? 😅
I went to a call and the pump used 120 , the customer ordered a new motor and kept shutting off after 15 minutes of use, I suspected it was a clogged line due to little suction of the pool vac hardly working but water was still circulating in the pump. Found no other issue they had proper voltage everything seemed fine.
This video could have been so much more helpful than jittery camera operation and jittery talking. Thanks for not so much
Please include the link to your video. Thanks
Is this a Cv axel?
0000# steal whool is your friend on piston and slider pins etc.
You forgot to show us what you did
What make of truck is that? I have never seen or heard of an axle coming out of a transfer case, Or anywhere near a transfer case.
Either he misspoke or just doesn’t know much about trucks. The cv axles are connected to the front diff on these trucks lol
This is the reason why you don't believe everything you hear or see. Never do this , ever.
That product is for lubricating the slide pads on the caliper
Do not do this I make callipers for a living never use grease it will damage the boot and internal seal. We use assembly fluid that is compatible with break fluid and safer if it get on our skin . If your doing it your self rebuilding a caliper use brake fluid as others have said .
This was my problem also. In my situation, the 220 is connected with 2 separate 110 breakers. They should have a bar in between them but they don’t. Only 1 of the breakers was on. The pump heated right up and then stopped running. After it cooled the pump would run but only at about 1/4 speed. After viewing this video, I checked the breakers. Made sure that they were both flipped on. It works just like it should. 🎉 Thanks for posting!
You should be thanking them for all the work they give you with there shitty parts lol
Ture lol
*true*
I’m an aircraft maintenance mechanic and we only use the dedicated fluid to clean the pistons. For the brakes skydrol and gear sliding member the landing gear fluid. Just to prevent contamination of the original fluid and bad seals
The way my family drives our car, we need some of that landing gear fluid...
Shit video
Hey what did you use to undercoat your truck?
You almost never lubricate your brake caliper pistons as this can cause the seal inside the bore to fail!!! I don't know why anyone would listen to a untrained mechanic that hasn't gone to school in the first place! Your brake calipers are a hydraulic ram and are lubed by the brake fluid that pushes the piston forward. But, then again people know not to use street drugs, but still do anyhow!!! Signed: Master Mechanic and ASE Certified W/40yrs experience
Stop lying to yourself and others. I just removed piston seals on a 2014 focus and the piston and inside of the seals were caked with clear grease.
@@01mustang05 That's why they failed!
@@Unknown-hu4gf No it's not; my brakes didn't fail, I was just checking the majority of piston and seeing if the square seal was leaking at all. I have specific synthetic high temp grease exactly for this - in order to prevent corrosion, pitting, piston boot and square seal damage! The piston has to remain clean and undamaged. And grease is the only way to do that. Clean-Flow Easy Slide(different spelling)
@@01mustang05 I guess you should reread my original comment. And, I'd look at a service manual put out by the manufacture and I bet they don't recommend any lube for the piston seals on replacement. Give me the make and model of you vehicle and I'll find out. And, remember that sales pitches for products will tell you to put it on everything including your toast for breakfast even though you shouldn't.
@@Unknown-hu4gf 2014 Ford Focus SE FlexFuel. And your original comment is nonsensical, to which I dealt with and addressed as best I could. And why should I care about what a manufacturer recommends, they are not good nor smart people. And I would not put grease on the entire piston, just on the non brake fluid side on the square seal! There are more pressing matters that need correction you know; like the masses abusing innocent and helpless children - which has been happening for generations and is causing nothing good - like you not agreeing on lubricating part of brake caliper pistons and boots and part of the square seal keeping brake fluid from leaking out and keeping the piston as pristine as possible.
I have the exact same issue. My pump is running super hot. I just replaced the shaft seal on the motor and all the gaskets. After putting it together, and connecting the 2 phase electricity (240v) my pump started running hot. I didn't even think to check the two phase breaker. It could be that one phase of the breaker is no longer functioning. I'm going to check the current in each phase to ensure it's not the breaker. Thank you for the tip.
Dumb question. Did you check the voltage at the line before connecting the pump. I ask because if it wasn't 120ish there it would indicate an issue upstream to the breaker correct?
Thank you for this useful video
I replaced my pool motor 5 years ago. Today, it's been overheating, shutting down and then starting back up again. Thanks to you, I did measure the voltage and it's giving a healthy 125V. But when I opened up the back of the motor, I noticed that the motor was set to 220V!!! I did save the original (to us since we moved into the house) motor and it ALSO was set to 220V! When I set the current motor to the 120V setting, it pops the 20Amp circuit breaker. So what's this all about? I ordered a new motor. What do I set it to?
supposed 220v input volts,you need check the two wires voltage,supposed 110 volts each。if not,one wire has wrong。breaker has problem。
I just came from another video where he showed that regular caliper grease is NOT GOOD for rubber parts - it swells them up. He switched over to Sil-Glyde which probably stands for Silicone Glyde. WELL, before I posted this comment, I did a little more research - silicone grease and brake fluid is BAD. All the recommendations were to use brake fluid to lubricate the rubber piston seal to slide the piston back in place.
@@STBRetired1 I've been using a little bit of caliper grease I never had a problem . You would think if the grease is good enough for the guide pins it would be good enough for the Pistons specially if it's looking very dry and Rusty.
Zenoah is not a Husky. They are completly different. You were looking for a bar in the wrong places.
So that control arm looks like a junkyard part w all that green paint marker writing
I put Mobil 1 synthetic in my lawnmower and have not changed it for 8 years - runs perfect still. Starts real easy... I might change it but I think I might just buy a new lawn mower...
Yeah unless your shed is heated, you might want to buy a new lawn mower. An engine without regular oil changes that goes through long periods of inactivity in extreme temperatures will collect moisture in it's oil
Can I use the vaccuum hose for the purge valve solenoid to spray the mopar into since this hose, at least on my car, goes straight to the throttle body (just after butterfly valve) ?
This way there's strong enough vacuum at idle without having to rev up or open throttle bottle more since it's entering intake manifold after throttle body?
Bro god bless you, Thank you so much for sharing this! My rotors are warped and my calipers were sticking to them. Made for a less than comfortable ride. Covered the pistons and sliders in anti seize and the ride is significantly better. I had to beat the ever living shit out of my calipers with a mallet swung with the power of Thor to get both calipers off lmao.
If you put a layer between the pad and rotor mating surface, it will be an even smoother ride.
Iv been using it for years in old cars..and when I don't use it..I can tell 🤔
So you had to change the breaker?
Why use an oil for a lawn mower that is designed for cold starting? 10W-30, 5W-30, etc.. I have always used straight 30 weight in lawnmowers; 10W-30 in a pinch. Is there a full synthetic straight 30 weight? Not sure about you folks, but I don't run my mowers in cold weather...soooo??? LOL
In Canada it gets pretty cold and still got to cut your lawn close to Christmas. I usually switch my oils for my generator and snow blower and lawn mower because I almost broke the cord on my lawn mower it was so thick. And it's hard to find a 10 W 30 synthetic now unfortunately. The lowest I'll go is 5w 20 but the hotter the oil gets the better that will works not like the 10 W 30 which starts to break down when it gets hot
I may have to try this. I have an annoying squeak on my 2019 colorado. I haven't seen anything that may be causing it. It's new enough and isn't driven hard to have any parts worn out already. I did have a lift kit installed a while back so I was thinking ball joint or something of that nature but everything looks good at least to the naked eye. Just worrisome.
BAH! Conventional 10w-30 for life on a small gas engine.
Wouldn't this be like, cleaning your mask with water and then letting it dry for reusing?, The filtration properties might be long gone that way right?
No sorry your filter is not like your mask?. The materials are much different on an air filter. If you use some dish soap or some air cleaner soap K&N Carrie's one. Don't use a power washer to clean it or you won't have any material left just use some warm water under the tap to clean it and most importantly let it dry on the counter do not reinstall it and let it dry in your air box it will take a long time for it to dry and your car could suck in some of the water and we'll set off a sensor
And I've never cleaned a disposable mask so I wouldn't know but good to know. And when you wash a K&N air filter that actually happens you wash away the filter material that's why I can answer not good for your car they will let small Micron dirt through right from the factory this is why I only use dry performance filters any filter that uses oil let's microns of dirt through
Well, ya it was just a not so related example, I haven't tried cleaning these oem replaceable filters because they are not supposed to be wet but I guess it's not that bad... If I had to do it I would first blow the superficial dirt away with canned air or vacuum with those attachments you use to vacuum a keyboard, small gaps, then maybe if it's still very dirty I can use the soapy water rinse it and let it dry... But what I'm not sure if the paper on the filter would hold alright even just buy wetting it
@@mariobajac yeah I'm not so sure about those kn filters, it seems good for performance, 1 or 2 hp more, but is it good at filtering particles and so on as the oem?, Not so sure.
Yeah one thing I left out wouldn't be sticking any air compressors or any computer board cleaner to push the dirt farther inside the material you would want some nice bubbly soap so the bubbles from the soap lift the dirt and then you can wash it away with some warm water not hot water and yeah your filter is meant to get wet as your car takes moisture if it's raining outside. So yeah it's safe to clean the filter just don't blast any water and don't dry it with hot air just let it dry on its own. But I would only clean the filter once maybe twice I've never cleaned it more than twice.
Super‼️ 👍😉😀
Nonsense

I have a Toyota Camry LE 2001 2.2 liter 4 cyl engine . When i was driving it today it smells like a burnt rubber . And the brakes kinda smokes to the passenger tire .and i heard kinda grinding noise when i brake .Iam thinking its my brake pads .I have no experience on this kinda issue . I was gonna change my brake pads . Any good info would be appreciated. Is it also ok to drive my car ?
You may have already found a solution but it sounds like your brake pistons might be sticking so the pressure in the brake system can’t pull it back. Thus your brake pads will be held to the rotors making them wear out faster. An easy way to tell if your brakes are sticking is to jack the car up and try spinning the tire(make sure the car is not in gear and properly chalked so it doesn’t roll away) most car shops do a free brake inspection too btw
Brake Pads are in constant contact with the rotors. Having the same issue and same smell. It's fucking ass. It could be a number of things, the pistons, the caliper, the hose, the line, etc... Try one thing at a time is the best way to do it I suppose
Check the slider pins's tip which usually have a piece of rubber that, with time, changes in size / gets bigger. When the pin slides in / out, the rubber rubs against the caliper's cylinder tube, getting stuck because the rubber is scattered in pieces due to friction...
Thank you
