Looks like a nice shooting gun you must’ve figured that trigger problem out. curious, what did you do to fix it?
The trigger was indeed bottoming out against the back of the trigger guard. Took me 20 minutes with a file and then I touched up the bluing.
IIII WIIILLLLLL WOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLLKKKKK
A great gun that i was able to make even better with a little handiwork looking at how the trigger and safety plunger operates with no extra money spent. My best shooting and favorite 9mm handgun, and i have had many.
My trigger is way better after even 300 rounds.
@@MovieMaker225 put a dab of teflon grease on the little plastic button on the bottom of the slide (1/4 inch round black or white plastic) and keep the other parts oiled.mine has been flawless and accurate with any and all ammo.Love it.
@@zipper396 i treat all my firearms like aircraft trust me lol everything is always cleaned and oiled for sure. Certain guns of mine I use grease for sure.
@@MovieMaker225 NDZ sells a really nice mag extension that looks like it was born on this gun.adds a little for full grip at the range and i left one 10 round mag stock for carry.Check it out.
Hold it mijo
Your problem is most likely the magazine feed lips on the rear right, looking at the mag from the back. That's what my problem was, and it seems you have the same problem I had.
I've had Remington 740s and 742s in various calibers. I've never had one jam but I've kept them clean and properly lubricated.
Midway has 20 round mec gar mags for pt92. That's what i use in my pt92
So awesome. Black scars are dope af.
..factory ammo...or warm reloads..?..the action is barely capable to handle 06 factory loads ....its prob a minor prob u r havin ...i set up one in 308 for my g son ...sweet piece.....u just cant try to make it do what it's not designed to do ...its not a AR.....
I got a counter offer for one of these for 900$. Says its in great condition, exact spec as yours. Worth the money?
750-850 is what I see them go for. So not too far off.
@@MovieMaker225 I offered 8 then 850, asking is 999
One pillow was damaged in the making of this episode. lol super high speed rifle though
😅
I can hear your eyes coming off the sights too!
The ping is the clip vibrating after it strikes the upper reciver in the process of exiting the gun This would happen with a lot of m1 garands as the springs wore out somtimes it just ejects at the right angle to just not hit the reciver at all
3D printed clip?
Yes. I heard it land in dirt, over artillery shells landing and MG fire 😂
Why does this dude look like ace ventura?
Chitty chitty bang bang 😎
Blasphemous! Lol
Is it cracked?
I have a 760 in .308 that was my father's. I did not realize that they made a 760 in .300 Savage. I have a Model 99 that was my Mother's Dad's in .300 Savage that is fantastic. Shoots my cast bullets and reloads wonderfully. Dad's .308 shoots the cast and reloads really well too. I also have an NEF single Handi Rifle in .308 that handles the cast and reloads as well!
You sure? That thing sure recoils like an M48! Jk bro awesome video and sweeeeet rifle!
You've never gotten Garand Thumb and it shows.
Cant tell if your complimenting me or?? 😅
Now you need a M1 carbine and a Colt .45 , if you don’t already have those.
I do have a carbine. At one time I had a RIA gi model 1911 but it just wasnt doin it for me.
@@MovieMaker225 how do you like the carbine?
@@WJ1333 love it. Couldnt imagine not having one. Its the lightest rifle I own aside from a 22. Took a 200 pound whitetail doe with it at 50 yards when I was 17.
@@MovieMaker225 They are a nice small light rifle, thank you for your input I do appreciate it.
Is he using his ring finger to fire?
Yup. Its the "mad minute" technique for faster follow up shots.
🙂
Love the Sound of the Garand! Sounds like Heaven to me!
❤
Most Mosins have sewer pipes for bores. The Soviets didn't care about bore condition when they refurbished them in the 70s. Just make them look pretty. Never mind all the pitting and worn out bores. Sell them to the Amerikans! They'll think they're new. 🤠
I have two of these and they run flawlessly. I must say I hate the term "Jammed!" Thats a crappy generic term for it didn't go bang on the next shot. A better question to ask is what is it doing? Does fail to pick up a new cartridge from the magazine? Does it fail to go into battery? Does it fail to extract? Does the bolt lock back without an empty magazine? This information is critical to diagnose the problem, and each symptom has it's own likely cause. As an auto mechanic the most annoying complaint I hear from customers is "My car won't crank", yet they cant tell me if the starter is turning the engine over or not... Like a car these rifles require maintenance, the gas system and chamber must be kept clean, the receiver rails should be clean and lubed, and never store the magazines loaded as the spring will fatigue and cause poor feeding.
Plainfield, one of the better Commercial M1 Carbines. 🤠
Ive had good luck with them.
I used to have one of these chambered in 300 Savage that was made in 1954, I ended up selling it because the rifle recoiled almost just as hard as my other 760 in 30-06 but the 300.Savage ammo cost $15 / box more. And that was before 2020.
Really? Mine even with handloads has half the recoil of my .30-06 rifles.
That is a German mauser Karabiner 98 kurz. A Yugoslavia mauser has the rear sight fully cerounded by wood. The German one has no wood near the rear sight
Explain the Yugoslavian crest on the receiver? If you don't believe me, look up Yugo M98/48. I know the difference between a M48 and a K98K, if I thought it was a M48 dont you think my video would be titled "Yugoslavian M48" ? This was is German K98K that was refurbished/repurposed by yugoslavia, they scrubbed the markings and put their crest on it.
Heck yea got that BP blowing smoke!! Woo woo
Not gunna lie at first it looked like the Cpt at the end of saving private ryan but then you were like “hold up I can do better” and significantly tightened up lol
Hand cannon putting in work!
Jeez nearly lost your thumb 😂😂😂
Absolutely awesome!
Not by the manual
Hmm....so your telling me its not by the book and yet my method works?? Well thats just unheard of 🙃
P R O M O S M 🤣
Love the World at War music
Love that game. Wish they put the iron sighted version of the mosin in Zombie mode.
Easily one of my most memorable and favorite game of the franchise
@@Skully-hr8pc same here. I still remember completing the game with a friend of mine at like 3 in the morning and seeing the zombie mode start had both of us looking at eachother like "woah, whats this???"
@@MovieMaker225 man what I would give to re-live the first time loading up Nasi zombies right after beating the campaign
@@Skully-hr8pc i always prefered using the Kar98K in the first room.
Great job!
No ping. This is now a war crime.
Pretty sure that only happens when the stripper clip is ejected after all the rounds are gone
@@whothehellistom2645 No strippers to Garand.
@@XtreeM_FaiL so what did he load all those rounds simultaneously with?
Enbloc Clip @@whothehellistom2645
Smoov💯
No flinch 🤌🤌
303 British brass tends to be thin. When fired, the cases will stretch a lot just above the rim. This causes a weak area in the case. So, when you reload 303, you have pay special attention to the stretching in that area. The 303 is a fairly low pressure cartridge, so that reload may have been way too hot. Some 303 cases are very durable. Some, not so much.
Totally brill.
they dont make them like they used to. the new 6.2L is plague with trash DFM and piston collapse
Gunna have to “put a thumb in it” now! Hahahahahaha I’ll volunteer as tribute if I must 😅
Dont tempt me lol
Went to the range yesterday sighted in at 500 yards and rang an 8 inch gong three out of five. I have a 7X scope on a scout mount so I wouldn't have to get the bolt bent.
Maybe cordite related? I haven’t actually like looked into it. I just excepted that happens from those rounds. The smell is telling when you fire one. It smells off almost like burning paper or the smell from burning cigarette paper. You can follow the vapor trail all the way to the target. I’m extremely confident in my claim because I have so much busted brass to back up my claims. I just haven’t done the research to explain why it happens
WRA is Winchester. The ammo would have been originally loaded with smokeless ball powder, not cordite. The WRA cases were even known at the time (1941-1945) to be weak at the case head. Was probably a bad idea to reload the WRA brass in the 1st case.
Also I noticed you’re almost at 500!! That’s awesome!!
